People being grown up by saying “oh but if Spurs go down that’ll be one less promotion place to play for cos they’ll romp the league” yeah I get that but it just pales into insignificance by just how fkking hilarious it will be. I’ll have a smile on my face all summer.

And anyway we’ve got 2 more promotion places to play for … 7th & 8th.

Said 18 months ago Scott Parker's Wolves will be 0-0ing their way to Championship promotion in 2027 and I haven't changed my mind.

We should all be able to have a vote about which borefest manager we can veto from the Championship. He’s definitely up there.

Let us not forget that Spurs, who I grew up thinking of as a bit of a joke who always finished below us, got good very briefly under a class manager and used that peak to suddenly declare themselves part of a “Big Six” that wanted a European Super League and pull the ladder up. If that had happened in 1994 it would have been us, Blackburn and Norwich. Chelsea, Spurs and Man City would have been nowhere near.

Them getting relegated is a statement piece. It shows the spirit of the sport is still there, despite ongoing aggressive attempts to suffocate it.

Everything, EVERYTHING, has been put in the way of this happening. They’ve done everything to make this impossible. And it could happen anyway.

For the good of the sport, it has to be them*

*still going to die laughing when it’s West Ham.

Watching the pornographer take it in the @ss as a chairman of a relegated club, and what a joy to see how insufferable the insufferable Danny Dyer would be larging it over Lincoln.

Spurs would still be funnier, though. I know someone who recently left Spurs; they had a job in the backroom of the club, and the atmosphere there is stinking. Lots of new middle managers are coming in, and they're all trying to 'fix' things. Lots of people are leaving, and the mood is murderous. Effectively, they sold their soul to produce a venue that supports the NFL, concerts, etc., and that has been the commercial driver for the last few years. They've taken their eye off the first team and gone from clusterfudge to clusterfudge.

Their margins on the non-football events are massive for the concerts, rugby, NFL, boxing and whatever else they can cram in there. They made £5m for Beyoncé - that's EACH show.

Spurs for me - financially relegation will be a nightmare for them and I'd imagine most of the 1st team squad will leave as they will probably feel that they are too good for the Championship.

Yeah, no problem at all for us. In the 24 seasons we’ve spent in this division in the last 30 years we’ve finished in the top 8 twice so I reckon we’re due. Second, probably.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

There would be lots to enjoy about a West Ham relegation, although nepo baby Brady is already distancing herself from it.

However, they may well get relegated next season, or the season after. If they eventually sell Bowen, they’ll surely drop.

This feels like a “once in a blue moon” season where Spurs could go down. They’ve been in the Champions League Final and finished top 4 in the last decade. They’ve think they’re a top 6 club. It would be delicious to see them playing in the Championship, in the same league as Lincoln, having to shift home match tickets in that huge (but fantastic) stadium. Surely their finances will be a disaster next season?

It has to be Spurs.

I actually think it will be much worse for wet spam as they may well stay down and money wise are more at risk. Spurs as funny as it will be have the money and they wknt be here for more than a season. Either for.me spurs funier but morewest ham fans to annoy so sit back and watch two peole you hate fight very near a cliff. Secretly hpping the man from burnley who you dont mind climbes back up due to point deduction ect and they both go over

I mean come on it has to be Spurs.

Maybe they could do a double drop like Luton and Leicester?

we were a poor model of what not to do in prem league but spurs have raised the bar, their board invested in the stadium for beyonce, go karting and NFL and NOT FOR the 1st team of spuds!
the revolving door of managers cannot help
the missed signings i mean, they had gibbs white in a spurs shirt and the deal never went thru, why? who stopped it? who wouldn't sign the check?
the EZE deal, done but he went gonners. is solanke really the new greaves/kane?
like blueco at chelski, spurs have major boardroom issues and if/when they go down most of the squad goes too to clear wages, bring in fees and they lose tv money, prices drop, no euro cash either, they may not go straight up ( unlikely ) and then the problems will mount, interest of payments for ground may be missed so goes up etc.
so enjoy snoop dogg , the new york jets and taylor swift cos they will eb the highlights for the next few years at the lane!

They've jammed their way out of it, haven't they. Looks like it's another trip to the Taxpayers' Stadium next season. Or nul points at Forest once again.

De Zerbi seems to have given Spurs players a reason and also a belief.

They were decent today.

I said earlier in this thread that I didn't care and its still largely true, but part of me wants Spurs to survive now given the huge amount of copy/paste unfunny "banter" about them everywhere online.

They were helped by Villa making 7 changes to their 1st team though. They were 2-0 up before the Villa players even knew their names.

Out of the three I’d have preferred Forest to go down but thanks to Chelsea’s latest clown show that’s now not going to happen.l 🤡🤡🤡

Yeah well done Villa FFS.

Reckon they will fully QPR this, and lose to Forest on Thursday anyway!

Chelscum proper shit and probably won't beat Spurs either.

Fuxsake.

About a year ago I bought my first house, right by White Hart Lane train station.

Was really looking forward to Spurs away - just bought one of those aldi ceramic bbqs. Cans in the garden, 9 minute walk to the ground, lads round for a full bifta bbq. halcyon.

I was however drinking in the park by the Antwerp Arms and realised that whilst most of the Prem games were fairly unnoticable, every Champ team would be treating it like their cup final and the ends would a shit show lol. So I'm coming round to being ok with it
