We don't know if Ferdinand hired Ramsey as manager.
He probably brought him to the club, probably had input into him being the interim manager but it was most likely the board who decided to make the gig permanent. I would think it highly unlikely that they would devolve that power to Ferdinand. |  |

True a playing legend and said all the right things when he joined but how can he talk about consolidating when we have the quality that we have. I get why some want the small club thinking cos the ambitious stuff hasn't worked but fck that we have a great squad so i want ambition, positive thinking and playoffs as a minimum.

What is all this nonsense about "the quality we have".
The players we signed have come from the league below, almost entirely, and the players who were here last year finished bottom in the Prem.
Is this the myth of Austin, Sandro and Phillips. The former has missed about 5 games and could easily be off in Jan. The middle one has only managed to be fit to start 2 games in 14 and the final one has played poorly this season, poorly for a year on joining, with just a 3 month hot streak in between. Why does the presence of these 3 mean we have "quality"?

I thought about too, Baz, but I figured that a Director of Football is not in sole charge of absolutely everything football-related and that if the owners want to make a change on the manager they can feel entitled to. After all, they probably had the final word on hiring Ramsey too.
