Not surprised Karl I said in another thread that Brendan will sign him for a million or so He should look a million dollars in the SPL
And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles
Brian Moore

Pay a million £ and look a million $? Sounds like a QPR transfer for sure! He should do very well in SPL, only thing i'd say though is the league is very physical so if he's not fit due to his 'lifestyle' then he could struggle here too. Gets his head sorted and could be a good springboard for him, especiaslly if Celtic can get a Euro run going.
Should be good for half his wages I'd think, which is still substantial and not to be sniffed at. Any interested party has us over a barrel here really.

I'm fed up of us being the victims of the state of the modern game. If that's how "it" is ("it" being us over a barrel and losing money on one of our 'assets') then I'd actually prefer us to make an example of him and behaviour of this ilk and either force him to apply himself, get fit, and force his way back into squad contention, or make him train with the youth. It would help send out a message that QPR are tough on modern day wastrels trying to take advantage of the club.

Last season we got a loan fee as well, I'd imagine that combined we would cover his wages in full whilst allowing his wages to fit into their wage structure.

'Tough on wastrels, tough on the causes of wastrels'
'What do we want? We don't know! When do we want it? Now!'
But Glasgow is not a great place for someone withe a drink problem. Love Glasgow, great city.
Is he not en-tittled ? *hic*
Strange Old Firm - As your main man at centre back would ye take Caulker or Clint Hill?
Tis a veritable no brainer. Silly Tim,sensible Hun.
Also when Paul Merson's alcoholism finally emerged he went off to see his former team-mate Tony Adams for detox at the Sporting Chance clinic. So in the same way why on the difficult road to redemption isn't Clark Carlisle offering non-stop unequivocal help and advice to Steve Caulker? Good to see Kenny Sansom looking healthier BTW.

Early days but on the limited evidence of last night and JFH being reported as wanting to keep him, it seems they have done exactly that.
I think JFH would like to keep him but has also been told to talk him up so they can get something for him when he is inevitably sold.
I do think that JFH could get the best out of him, but he is clearly on big money and Celtic and Newcastle are looking at him, think we have suitable cover too now
If he gets picked ahead of Grant Hall, Lynch, Ned I think it may have a poor effect on club morale like when Toazer & Angella came straight into the team. It had a poor effect on performances as up until then we looked quite useful.
But then again the squad has had an extreme makeover and caulker coming back to so many new faces might not be like the wastrels and pariahs we suffered in recent years, he might fit in.
With or without him our defensive options look the best we've had in ages.

Without him they look a lot better. Still have nightmares about that fking header at Hull.
