The arrogance is incredible. How that manager didn't at the very least get a touchline ban is madness. For a club who embarrassed themselves twice in recent years in the Premier League to be this cock sure that they would have beaten Hull and comfortably stayed up is impressive.
They got away with that spying lark big time when they owned up to the 4 games, that went a lot deeper and was clearly happening a lot more than they admitted to.

In the context of what else happens in football, like tapping up managers and players, the constant cheating and time wasting on the pitch, the financial irregularities and ridiculous spending, is sending some bloke to stand behind a tree with a mobile phone to film Oxford training, such a terrible crime? It was so unfair, we were the bestest and they didn't let us cheat our way to Wembley where we would have beaten Hull 8-0 and now be doing better in the Prem than the teams who finished higher than us last year because we are totally brilliant and would be nestling just above Brighton waiting to make our push for the title because we are totally amazing and aces. You can't pick and choose which rules you want to follow.
It was cheating, they went into games with an advantage knowing how teams would press, knowing the way they would build attacks so they could anticipate it and catch teams out. What their set pieces would be.
It would be like facing a penalty and knowing which way they are planning to go, gives you a massive advantage.
