Premier League Best/Worst moments 12:43 - Jul 4 with 1874 viewssimmo

Guardian have run an article where they speak to fans of clubs that have been in the *PL and asked them for their best and worst moments. Interested to hear the same from people on here (and hopefully reveal some real pettiness!). Good luck pinpointing the worst moment...

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/jul/03/premier-league-fans-all-47-club

This is from the article, doesn't say the name of the fan.

Queens Park Rangers

Best moment: The first time QPR beat Liverpool that I remember. It was Halloween night in 1994 and it was a Monday night game. We won 2-1 with goals from my heroes Les Ferdinand and Trevor Sinclair, who scored a diving header! Liverpool were completely outplayed and only John Barnes carried any threat for them that night. As a 10- year-old I was convinced I was on to a lifetime winner. Little did I know.

Worst moment: We were the first team to lose to Swindon in the 1993-94 season on their single visit to the Premier League. They only won five games all season, but two of them came against us! The three relegations I’ve witnessed were also harrowing experiences.

Favourite player: Les Ferdinand.

*Fúck the Premier League, I agree with you, but I think it will be interesting all the same.

Best was beating Everton away 0-3 , 3-5 and Spurs 4-1 playing some of the best football not seen since the Brazil team of 1970 , orchestrated by the maestro sir ray Wilkins
oh and beating Chelsea 1-0 in 2011

worst was pretty much all of the games under Arry

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

Losing 6-0 at Craven Cottage , No 1 son had secured us the full corporate experience, we sat by the river and enjoyed the free beer and food , sat 2 rows behind Al Fayed, prepared to be magnanimous in victory whilst quaffing post match champagne .

We were absolute dog shite from start to finish

Shame the performance on the pitch that day didn't match the fans, if it had we'd have stuffed them. Out sang the fools for the entire 90 minutes.

Best for me SWPs winner at scumford bridge, worst dire performance at home to soton (0 - 4?)

Worst Premier League moment I can remember? That last minute free kick we let in at home to Wigan. Never felt so deflated in my life.

Best? The come back against Liverpool the season before. Floated out of Loftus Road that night.

As a young teenager in the early 90s when QPR were flying, I took everything for granted so never really revelled in any of those wonderful times, it was just usual service.

Best - Les Ferdinand's Easter hat-trick x 2
Worst - 0-0 at the Madjeski which relegated both sides. I had to get a program because I couldn't believe something so dire was in "the best league in the world".

The Spurs 4-1 was special. Poor first half but the second was the best I've ever seen us play. Wilkins puling the strings and we absolutely murdered them.

I went with a Spurs mate who stood in the paddock with me. We'd been to several QPR v Spurs games together (mostly at WHL) and we'd never won. Leaving games to be greeted by his smug grin was the norm. He came to the Gurnham Singh game. This time not only did we win, we were brilliant, he was next to me while it all unfolded and he'd ageed on a bet where the loser had to buy the winner beers all night. He honoured the bet and spent all night moaning about why Spurs couldn't play the sort of football we did that day.

Worst: Cantona. Bastard.

Worst - losing to Norwich, the full impact of which came home to roost when Liverpool beat Wolves and denied us the title.

Best - Yet to be experienced!*

Premier league my butt crack!!

* At a push, Citeh away when the news came through that we were safe. Well, for a year anyway!

Best: 4-1 at Old Trafford (though it would surely have been the 1-0 at home to Chelsea if I'd been at it).

Worst: Cantona.

Hate the Premier League.

Best was the 1-4 against Man Yoo. Worst was the Man Yoo goal against in what must have been the 10,000th minute of extra time. Reckon we would still be playing now if they hadn't scored.

assuming we're talking post August 1992, best was probably the 3-2 Liverpool game, certainly from 0-2 down and Barton booed off. From 75th minute where you thought we were doomed to go down to 20 minutes later genuinely believing we could stay up.

Worst, strangely a 3-0 win over West Ham in last home game of 1996 but relegation confirmed. You sensed that run of 13 years in the top league wasn't going to be repeated.

Best: Les's back to back Easter hat tricks
Worst: Cantona equalising in the 138th minute. Never felt so deflated leaving LR as we were really excellent that day against the champions elect. had we won that day, I'm convinced we'd have survived.

Poll: Which is the worst QPR team?
