Two currently doing the rounds - Wiredu might be off to Forest, presumably for a decent fee and/or player exchange, and we’re close to signing Ryan Loft from Scunnie for a reported £50k fee.
Ball and Humes got to pull fingers out now and find us a keeper to cover for George and Gerks who it appears was unfit on Saturday. That road atlas will have to be opened up beyond the A12 as don't think the tractor boys now have a spare keeper as believe Holy has already been loaned out.
We were going to sign a keeper from Pompey.
Hopefully that will be resurrected.

Give Collins a chance! Tchamadeau is doing OK. We've got to start believing in the squad, putting the correct ten out ahead of him tomorrow - Tchamadeau, Eastman, Dallison, Kenlock, Chilvers, Wiredu, Judge and Huws with a couple of the strikers. Get the ball forward, create chances and be faster and more direct. But I just don't know if it's in the dna of the temporary U's management any more than twas before! A win tomorrow will work wonders because there must be some kind of boost from Saturday last thing?

Is now really the time to give a young inexperienced keeper a chance though? We could really do with a win tomorrow as two tough away games to follow. I imagine a side like Rochdale would target Collins if we play him so quite a risk.

Even if we put our faith in Ted Collins, and I'm sure he's a very capable goalkeeper, we're still kind of only one mishap (another red card, or injury) away from relying on Gerks, who let's face it is being held together by string and sticky-back plastic. No disrespect to Collins at all, but we really do need another goalkeeper at least until Shamal has served his suspension.

Collins has performed well in U23s. Distributes the ball better than George or Turner. But with Gerkin injured we need cover. I wonder if Tom Eastman could do the job? Oh forgot, both Smith and Chambers absent, so need Tom in defence. Perhaps best if we have a Covid outbreak tonight?

I'd rather imagine they hope he pulls off the same trick once or twice for us, as opposed to against us - at least that's what I'd gauge (to keep the theme going).
