All the above but a special mention for Port Fail 4 QPR 4; what people forget about that game was when we were 4-0 down they scored a perfectly good 5th goal that was 'chalked off' by the lino/ref purely out of sympathy for us stupid bastards stuck in the away end.
I still maintain to this day that if we played on for a couple of more minutes we would have scored a 5th goal; Port Fail completely went to pieces and so did us QPR fans when our fourth went in.
Etihad; brilliant then distraught then sort of brilliant followed by oh-bolox followed by NO; followed by BRILLIANT in a Fast Show sort of way.

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

Cardiff away in 2011 was good. Wigan at LR in the play off second leg. The two recentish home games against Man City (2-3 and 2-2) were brilliant as well.

Preston 1-0 Blackstock an under rated one, saved us from oblivion.

5-0 Blackpool, first game of the season, boiling hot, party atmosphere, Ainsworth’s debut, the future bright

That Wimbledon away cup game at Selhurst Park when Hateley scored - got to be the biggest away turn out vs home fans I’ve seen, class day out (until we lost)

I think everything is so much more vibrant when you are young... and besides it was the 60's and everything was definitely more vibrant back then.

In our 60's please!

From that time I will chuck in:-

Villa Park May 1968 & promotion to the top division. This is still my favourite away game.

Home to Derby February(?) 1970. FA Cup 5th round.

For overall atmosphere, the Oldham play off match must be in the top position & Hillsborough 2004 is right up there.

North bank at Highbury was pretty good against WBA .

The Oldham game was the best in recent time IMO

Some of the EUFA Cup games under the lights at LR were brilliant as well

5-5 mentioned yet? Not many there but unforgettable.

Trev’s overhead. Cracking game. (Sorry PP, you were there first.)

A couple have already been mentioned, Villa away 1968 and the 5-5 against Newcastle but one of my all time favourites was the 0-3 defeat against Forest at the City Ground the season we were relegated from the Premiership for the first time. The fact we had some of the players join us in the terraces about 5:30 that evening to join in the party tells you all you need to know.

The grass is always greener.

5-5 was mental, mostly after half-time
Milk Cup semi 2-2 at Anfield - half of Shepherds Bush was there, I couldn't speak properly for days after that
For some reason an away trip to Norwich in 83 sticks in my mind, 0-3 away win helps no doubt, in a cage but LOUD and proud all day

Favourite Atmospheres on 07:32 - Mar 26 with 2735 viewskernowhoop

My memories of the best atmosphere are all at Loftus Road:

2-0 against Leeds in 1976
1-0 against Oldham in the play-off semi-final
3-2 against Liverpool - the come-back, when Mackie scored the winner

What about the most delightful football? There have been many, but I enjoyed the 5-2 win over Slovan Bratislava.

A couple of personal favourites to add to those already mentioned;

Derby away in 2010-11 when two added time goals gave us an undeserved draw but kept our unbeaten run going.

3-2 at home to Coventry in an FA Cup replay around 1974. A Bowles free kick winner in the last minute of a cracking game sends us through to a home Quarter Final against Leicester. You know the rest .....

I'm lucky enough to have been to the vast majority of the games mentioned but for me the atmosphere at the Chelsea (1-0) game will never be beaten? It was absolutely electric.... the "West London is ours song" being sung by 3 sides of the ground was epic.
