OOD is a masterpiece. EP from before that is very good. Tear from the red had two or three really good songs on it. You come before you, I always thought was rubbish, which is funny because that was the one that was out as I was getting into that sort of music and everyone was raving about it. Don't think I've listened to anything after that. I don't mind when bands change style, but their change I just couldn't get on with.

I'm guessing we're similar age because it was around Tear From The Red time that I was getting into that kind of music and everyone was raving about it and I never fully got into it, same with You Come Before You. They both have some good songs but it doesn't stack up to OOD which is solid back to front. I didn't really listen to anything they released after that but they released 2 new singles in the last month. They are solid enough but not groundbreaking.

Forgive me if it’s been covered and I’ve missed it but RIP Phil Campbell .
Motörhead are an institution. The epitome of heavy rock . And Phil was a huge part of that . From seeing him on The Young Ones when when I was about 7 or 8 years old, to him playing on the last track put to tape in my 26 years in Orange Goblin, he was a hero to me like thousands of others and waking up to such awful news on Saturday was bloody awful . His Solo which leads out the song Zeitgeist always gave me chills anyway . Now more than ever . RIP you crazy funny and talented b*stard.

My favourite is symphonies of sickness. In fact, I consider this to be one of the all time best metal albums.

Re: Carcass. Necrotism is my favourite by them. Absolute game-changer when it came out. I only bought it based on a tiny little review in a newspaper but it was my go to through college.
Heartwork is good and has some brilliant moments but I prefer Necrotism. Everything since has either been good-but-one-dimensional (Surgical Steel) or just rubbish.
The new Poison The Well album is excellent.
