Only saw the second half but quite enjoyed that and was really pleasing to see literally every player to a man comfortable on the ball and not looking rushed and looking for the right pass. Apart from Pedder also very impressed with the right back, knew how to defend and also looked to get forward as often as he could. | |

Agree with that.
Pedder did impress me as having a bit more skill/control about him in what was a very comfortable and controlled team performance. Slightly faster and more incisive with the ball and pretty good without. Liked how he positioned himself to win the ball back and restart attacks quite a few times after they had broken down. Can see he is a tidy player and could develop to step up. |  |

No worries Nix. It's difficult to tell, plus the issue a lot of the time isn't how they perform in these games, but whether there is any hope of a step up to the first team. Some of these lads, being 21/22, are very old for this level so while they might look good at this level, there is little hope of progressing on to contribute for the first team. |  | | |

Yes absolutely RBlock. The Cardiff team were full of much younger players, so it's difficult to tell what our players might be like in terms of them being able to transition into the first team squad from that performance.
Even if one of this crop makes the step up though, it's worth it. |  | | |
