Swapping relegation from the national league for relegation from the championship.

My happy post of the day.

Bare bones.

Well you know what they say: every cloud has a Da Silva lining!

Dillon Da Silva eh ?
I remember when footballers had names like Alf Shufflesworth.

Hopefully we'll get plenty of silva for selling him on.

Interesting that Gareth seems to have realised that you need to get crosses on to the heads of the likes of Dykes and Martin. Who'd have thought it?

I suppose this is to cover Chair while he's out. Da Silva is a Sri Lankan international and appears to have done well at Torquay. I'm trying to think of the positives...

We need a hard northerner up font with a good old fashioned northern name.

Bring on Arthur Blackpudding!

Good to try something different, although it may mean there is bad news for Chair's injury.

I get it this may well be seen as straw clutching but he's one of our numerous players out on loan who we can try in an emergency, bringing on Dozzell for Chair on Saturday was like throwing in the towel, I genuinely hope some of our sick notes decide to actually earn some of their money and save us from the impending relegation battle.

Speedboat without a driver was the feedback I got on him from Torquay. Suppose Gaz wants a look at him though before deciding if he's worth keeping. No harm in that

We have players who have mastered both of those skills, alas it`s when a ball is introduced that thing unravel.

Well, we all saw him tear his hamstring and then hobble off crying. There wasn't going to be good news coming out of that!

Bare bones.

Not seen him “live” but looked tricky when playing for U21 and this season in a televised game ( FA Cup) for Torquay.
Skilful whether he is ready for championship let’s see..it’s a lot to ask, but other clubs do it ( Brizzle?) so why not.
It’s what we need to do I feel.

Seriously, are we now suggesting that a non-league player will be able to step up to the Championship?? Daft!!!!

Maybe when Ainsworth was at Wycombe they had been watching Da Silva as a potential signing and may have seen something in him

Pedder would be a more likely replacement for Chair, Not sure Torquay are playing Da Silva in his position.
