Thanks for posting this, Jacob is my niece Nicole's son and the whole family were devastated to hear this news just before Christmas.He is a season ticket holder with his dad Anthony and myself and my 2 brothers in the R block.
The go fund page ( JACOBS JOURNEY) is so his mum and dad can take some time off work to spend as much time creating memories in the short time he has left.
He had a a great day at the training ground meeting with the players and manager and he will be the mascot for the home game with WBA. [Post edited 3 Feb 2024 9:18]

As a father of a child with cystic fibrosis i understand the event horizon torment and agony. I remember when my boy was diagnosed and i swore i would never moan again about the banalities of life,, late trains, bin collection days missed, car failing its mot etc etc.. but you do. i still moan about everyday crap. you carry on. it's all you can do. in the final analysis it's not that important when you have a sick child.
Life. what a bastard lads.. you crack on as best you can. God bless little Jacob. xx

OMFG I was in a brilliant mood until I opened this thread and read that heartbreaking story its cruel and soul crushing for everyone inviolved.
Best wishes to the little guy and his family its impossible to fathom their feelings of helplesness but they are a brave family.

Just an update.
Thanks to BA holidays/Florida airlines the family were able to bring
forward their holiday to Florida from September with no costs incurred,and Jacob and his sister were also allowed in the flight deck for photos ,they were also given free passes to a number of parks and other attractions.So at least they will have this memory .

Just letting you know that Jacob had a fantastic evening meeting with all the players again,the club did a great job with all his family and myself and my 2 brothers invited to join them in the W12 club and this allowed more family to use our season ticket's.
About an hour before kick off the club told them that they would also like it if Jacobs younger sister Sophie would like to join him as a mascot also ( she was the little blonde girl who couldn't be bothered waiting around for Begovic to keep up ).
A mention was given on sky also resulting in a lot of donations to the go fund appeal.
So I and my family thank anyone who donated.
PS little Sophie had a great time also and loved all
