Well we won but they battered us 21 shots and 12 corners to our 9 and 1 Clearly Tonda isnt the man for the job or maybe bar Leo we just dont have enough at all

| Southampton At QPR Matchday Thread on 21:53 - Nov 5 with 1305 views | Glogly | We were largely utter tripe but we beat was was put in front of us (Christ knows how)... I guess thats all we can ask for at this stage. Scienza and Robinson decent. Bazunu pretty good for most of the match apart from (obviously) their goal and shortly afterwards, although he did regain confidence. The clear and obvious issue (other than having no sodding strikers) is the fact that every time we receive the ball we take it backwards and sideways. As soon as we can shake off this disease and start driving forward and creating opportunities we'll be ok - however.... we just dont have the players to do that - or if we do, theyve been so demoralised or poorly coached, we need a siesmic shift in our coaching and playing... | | | |

Not an embarrassment, but a well fought for win. Yes thet should have equalised but they didn't and we scored 2 good goals against a team 5 or 6 places above us. Oh, and were above the Skates!. I'll take that

| Southampton At QPR Matchday Thread on 22:05 - Nov 5 with 1199 views | PJK1972 | Well this lucky win hasn't changed my opinions about this Saints side 1. We have only 1 truely good signing. (Leo Scienza) out of the summer window. The rest are bang average championship players or worse. I think in time Azaz, Fellows and Jander might settle to be decent players, but apart from flashes they haven't been consistent. Don't get me started on D Downes! 2. We lack a Powerful striker, who is a goal threat despite the rest of the team. Someone who leads the line and can inspire the others to set him up. 3. We lack a Captain in the midfield. Romeu can't be in the side quick enough. 4. Really not convinced by any of our defenders. Wood has been decent in spells, as had Edwards but we lack consitency. 5. Too many player still want to play Russ Ball. For gods sakes just get them out of the team before they ruin the next manager. (THB, F Downes, Stephens etc) 6. We need to press and use our wide playerrs. 7. For Christ sakes play 4 at the back. We lack bodies in the midfield and it stifles creativity. BY the way I'm too tight to buy FM26, but I'm excellent at FM22. SR are you listening? [Post edited 5 Nov 22:09]

We have a very poor squad. Not losing at Fratton Park and staying above Pompey is a must though and anything above lower mid-table willl be a bonus. But, at least we are moving away from the relegation zone now. Ironically, in terms of shots at goal, that was one of the most one-sided games in favour of the opposition that we've played. QPR had 20 shots at our goal, including 5 on target, while we only had 9 and 2 on target. Their goalkeeper didn't make a single save. The xG says they should have won. In previous games those stats have been the other way round. [Post edited 5 Nov 22:26]

The backwards sideways play is all the more evident when Slack is in the side he kills all forward momentum

He is just as bad - and an ex-England International !! 3 shots on target v Preston = 2 goals 4 shots on target v Bristol City = 3 goals Bazunu 4 shots on target v Hull = 3 goals Pathetic attempt to save that late leveller at Watford that cost us 2 points Both seem to lack concentration and are always good for a mistake that, most worryingly, they never seem to learn from.
