Just saw this has been voted for by the clubs and will come in to play next season, with a system which is currently in place in the conference league.
Obviously, this won't effect us and our usual season finish of 16th!
But I can't decide whether or not this is a good thing really. If you finished 3rd and a good number of points clear of 7/8th place and you lost to them in the final you would be pretty hacked off. But I guess those will now be the rules. |  | | |  |

You are probably right.
But from the EFL's perspective this is a change in the governance of the competition and when an organisation that size makes a public statement that important they usually run it past legal first.
So when the public statement is that ambiguous my spidey senses start to tingle, because it's usually kept ambiguous for a reason.
But hey, maybe it was just generated by AI and thrown out there without proper scrutiny. That's how the EFL seems to operate most of the time. |  | | |

If they keep expanding the play-offs by two teams a season we’re in with a shout early 2030s. By then the officiating will be administered by taser-equipped artificially-intelligent robo-refs in which each half will mainly consist of 3 corner-kicks each taking approximately 15 minutes to execute and conclude. Any goals scored in open play will be decided by VAR dna lab sample analysis checking for epidermal-layer offsides which can take up to two weeks to determine.
