Nothing in the manual - Preview 19th Oct 2022 11:02
For the first time since the Triassic period, another team is showing an interest in appointing QPR’s manager — an unwelcome distraction ahead of two home games in four days against Cardiff and Wigan. 6

Big game tonight, we saw last season how quickly little things can derail a season

Ignoring the obvious narrative, interesting stat re Blackburn and their number of losses.

MB pointed out we would have been quite happy with 2 pts from the two tough away games pre Luton, but even if we had beaten Luton, the 6 points is better than 3 unbeaten games inc 2 draws.

Absolutely. We've had a couple of banana skins with Blackpool and Rotherham but then Sheffield Utd only drew at home to Blackpool, who actually finished with nine men and had the best of a lot of the match, from the highlights. Luton is different and no shame to losing to them given they were totally up for it and their additional physicality means we have to be on our best form to beat that kind of team.

No one is running away with it so far. No one looks anywhere near Fulham/Bournemouth of last season. After 16 matches Bournemouth had 37 points and Fulham 35 points. Blackburn are top with 27 points after 16 (we have only played 14, as have Sheffield Utd and Burnley, but their max is 31 points if they win both of those matches).

Well, some welcome news regarding the injuries. Mick Beale speaks Portuguese - why am I not surprised? We have a very interesting few days ahead of us.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

Interesting in the sense of the old Chinese curse, “May you live in interesting times”, perhaps.

Basically already out of date now it seems…

Man who go to bed with itchy bum, wake up with smelly finger. That’s what I’m getting, so to speak and that’s why I’m not a journalist.

What's the previous mould? He's not Portuguese?

How reliable a source is this? I see he used to be at the BBC but has jumped to The Athletic (presumably for the money?)

Any legs in this or is he just judging Beale by his own standards?

Oh dear.

Before the paywall kicked in it seemed to mention a release clause (presumably a fee involved). Any idea what this might be?

Let’s hope it’s the same as Erling Haaland’s from Borussia Dortmund.
