I am glad I am not the only one who thought it was s##t. Some shows can work both in U.k and U.S (Taxi,Friends etc) and others should just stay in the country of origin. I watch a lot of U.S shows and have, over the years understood the humour but the 'inbetweeners' really should have stayed here because the Americans are trying to copy something that simply won't work.
I wonder how 'Only fools and Horses' would get on if the Americans remade it?

Sometimes when converting a UK show, US studios miss the whole point completely. Everything has to be middle class, nice big houses, nice cars etc.
When "Dear John" was converted, the US character had a nice apartment (certainly not one that would reflect being taken to the cleaners) whereas the whole point was the UK character go so shafted by his ex wife, he had to live in a horrible bedsit with absolutely no possesions to his name and a mad Polish lady as his landlord. That was the point of the show, he was left with nothing. But in America, they can't be having that, can they. I mean, it's not like they'd leave a whole city in ruins for years after a hurricane......
That life on mars one was shocking, the ending was dreadful, think it was that they were all in space in hyper sleep. Ridiculous, they took the title a bit too literally,
