Apparently have asked Bowen to move back up to the DOF role he had before so they can hire a new manager. Says TalkSport...

Will he interview himself for that gig too?

They sacked Nigel Howe their chief executive yesterday afternoon which was a strange one although he's staying on as vice chairman.
He was a a bit of a nasty bloke in any case, It's all 'going off' at the fakes at the moment (which is nice).

Early speculation was that in light of FFP being sidelined they would go big and risk it all, but now the rumours suggest it's to be Aleksandar Stanojevic, a Serbian coach with a very mediocre record who was last in charge of Reading's sister club in China.

Great stuff.

They'll regret Bowen at the helm. I mean, look at what they could've won...

Hopefully Bowen as DOF will employ his old mate Hughesless as Manager, which will sort out another relegation place for this season.

Or maybe decide that he's the best person for the job himself again.

"Reading have reportedly lined up Serbian boss Aleksandar Stanojevic as their potential new manager."
"Stanojevic, 46, is a vastly experienced coach who has had spells in his homeland, as well as China, Greece and Saudi Arabia"

I wish him all the bad luck going.

"Former manager Mark Bowen has left Reading after rejecting new role at the club."

And another one for good measure.

According to their official Twitter:

Reading FC
@ReadingFC
The squad are out in Portugal, training under the guidance of their new manager Veljko Paunovic, and on Tuesday night the Royals boss will get his first glimpse of his players in action when he watches them take on Primeira Liga side Portimonense SC behind closed doors Flag of Portugal.

Can we take advantage of their disarray and sneak in a bid for Puscas and Ejaria with the Eze money that we can't spend?

I wonder if Bowen jumped or was pushed?

This reminds me what happened with Chris Ramsey. I am not sure if he really wanted to be the manager when he took over. But it didn't work out and he went back to his previous role. Sometimes you have to do the wrong thing to work out what the right thing is.

Here you go mate, straight from the horses mouth, or in the fakes case straight from the donkey's mouth.

"We can confirm that Mark Bowen has departed Reading Football Club.

Having stepped away from his position as First Team Manager a few days ago, Bowen was offered a new role within the Royals’ restructure, but after careful consideration he has chosen to pursue new opportunities elsewhere."

But does this tell us that much? The new role could have been hot dog seller.

Not really, I'm just wallowing in their turmoil atm, a club that I absolutely despise.

They would have to be interviewed first to see if they are worth the pleasure of his presence.
