Always have been, cheers. Is top 10 not good enough for you? I haven't checked but over the last 20 games of last season I think we won only 5, relegation type form? That was down to our deficiencies in defence which up to press I don't see as being rectified. Just a realistic guess of where I expect us to finish but I can change it for you if you want? No, you keep it. I was more startled at a predicted finish of 17th for a side who've been challenging for the League One play-offs for the past 3 seasons, and only missed out on them on the final day of last season.
Our only significant departures over the summer have been a midfielder who missed large portions of the season, and a forward who, likewise, didn't play for a large segment of the season. One of our main failings last season was the failure to provide cover for our excellent fullbacks - that's now in place in Brown and Nthle. Our main striker, Davies, has had a full preseason with the squad now, something he missed last season. And our young midfield has aged and developed too. Add to that the fact that Hill's never in a full season guided us to anything but a top-half finish (and a promotion or play-off challenge), and I struggle to see the thoughts behind a predicted 17th place. | | | |

In the last month of last season we won 3, drew 3, and lost 1. That isn't bad at all. If you're referring to our winless run at the start of the calendar year then that's completely irrelevant, as is if I mention our excellent form in the second quarter of the season. We had good spells and bad spells last season, but it was still a great season where we only missed out on the play-offs on the final day. I fail to see how a spell of poor form last season is at all relevant when we had excellent form in other periods of the season. | | | |
