Our three biggest rivals for 6th place are all in action tonight. Posh at home to Southend, whilst Millwall have an easier game in Chesterfield at home. Peterborough had their captain sent off at the weekend but I'm not sure what for so he may be available again when we visit them on Saturday.

2 suspended for 2 games!

The Football Association have today (February 20) confirmed two-match bans for captain Chris Forrester and recent signing Anthony Grant. Forrester was dismissed by referee Mark Haywood for foul and abusive language towards an assistant referee while contesting the opening Walsall goal in a 2-0 League One defeat at the Banks’s Stadium on Saturday (February 18).

Oxford winning already. They have quite a number of games in hand too.

Southend 3-0 up at Posh.

Michael Rose has just scored for Morecambe at Newport.

Posh getting spanked, let's hope there's not a reaction on Saturday.

That could be the end of the line for Grant McCann.

Competition for the playoffs has suddenly become more intense, with possibly 7 or 8 teams competing for 5th & 6th places

We'll do well to keep in the pack until our injury list clears, 3pt games priceless and worth being set up to win in every game from now on. Fortune favours the brave...

The chairman is usually quick off the mark getting rid but they are only 5 points off 6th. Posh are Jekyll and Hyde this season that's for sure.

They've had some bizarre results.

Lost 5-1 at bury, 4-0 at home to MK Dons and 4-1 at home to Southend, yet Sheffield United needed a very late goal to win there.

Hopefully after their late shock at the weekend and tonight's thrashing their confidence will be low.

It's a testament to how good we were for the first half of the season that despite our poor results lately, we know that if (if!) we win both of our games in hand then we'll be in 5th place.

No top-half L1 side has lost more home matches than Posh (6). But no top-half L1 side has lost more away matches than Dale (8).

Expectation is low for Saturday from a Posh perspective. To be fair, mine isn't much higher!

Their next four games could see them really cementing their challenge or all but falling away: Dale, Millwall, Bradford, Oxford.

We owe Posh for game 1 of the season.

We need a win desperately.

0-5 it is then

Southend thought it was perfectly acceptable to wear navy blue at Peterborough last night.

Fully expecting them to have those 3 points deducted.

Maybe that explains all the scoring chances. It could have ended 3-7.

I really hope we don't start out on the back foot on Saturday, allowing Peterboro to grow in confidence. Our defensive fraility in recent games has mainly been from set pieces, so minimising them by cutting out some of the niggly fouls in their attacking final third would help

.........and TRY NOT to concede unnecessary corners, we are useless defending them.
