Match thread: Peterborough H on 15:42 - Nov 25 with 4498 views | 442Dale | The change in tactics has worked well so far. Took ten minutes for the defenders to get used to it but we are crucially playing the game further up the pitch with two central strikers causing them much more to think about. It's been much talked about, but the three central defenders was always worth a try. Let's hope we can carry on in this vein...

3 central defenders is working very well. Daniels has looked a different player playing in his correct position.

It also helps if Calvin scores a 1 in a million worldie and the keeper can't set up a wall properly has raghands! 😉 Up the Dale!

Totally agree, also helps playing normal high pressing line Bunney looks more settled as a wing back. Some good football being played at times

Daniels was indeed excellent. Full credit to the manager for utilising a system that suits the players we have at our disposal. The Bunney injury was a worry as Ntlhe seemed a bit unsure positionally. It's also worth noting the job Rathbone did on Maddison, he was almost playing left back at times by going man to man. Another pat on the back for Hill tactically. The middle ground where mistakes have been made and things could be better was always going to be the sensible viewpoint. Today illustrated it as both the manager and fans could see there are indeed different routes forward. [Post edited 25 Nov 2017 17:28]

Match thread: Peterborough H on 17:38 - Nov 25 with 3721 views | Barrowdale | Omg so much better. Didnt need much did it really. Brilliant x Ollie. Maddison looked mortified! Never seen a total man for man marking for 90 mins. Neigther had he by the look on his face every time he had his heels snapped!
Match thread: Peterborough H on 17:38 - Nov 25 with 3700 views | Shun | Great result and a good performance, and defensive stability the likes of which we haven't known this season. I really like the new formation, the 3 defenders were excellent, especially Daniels and McGahey. Up 3 positions with that result, and a game in hand on those below us, good stuff! The only negatives were injuries to Done and Bunney.
Match thread: Peterborough H on 17:42 - Nov 25 with 3678 views | Daley_Lama | Done looked to have pulled a muscle, was holding his back. Bunney limped off and that didn’t look good. Slew subbed but didn’t see if he got injured. Hendo also got a knock towards the end but played on. Much needed 3,points against a Peterborough who remarkably and surprisingly feigned injury, dived and conned the ref throughout. Don’t think I’ve ever seen that from them before.

Whilst echoing the praise for Daniels, who looks a natural at CB and the 3-5-2 making us much more solid without any loss to our attacking capability (rather the reverse) - I have to ask, what took us so long? It's almost too obvious an option, and for it to have been ignored until now is frankly bloody annoying Having said that, well done Dale! Not a great performance, but one which revives the belief that we're plenty good enough for this division. Calvin's imitation of a fox in the box more than made up for his wayward efforts from distance, and Rathbone looked something like the player he was last season. Not my MoM, that'd be Daniels, who apart from one wayward pass in the second half barely put a foot wrong and had a touch of class when bringing the ball out, in the knowledge that the Big Macs were providing cover - both benefitted from the system Still think Hendo's wasted in a midfield role, decent showings by both Slew and Gillam, and 3 very vital points to take us out of the drop zone. It remains tight down there (oooer!) but we've got to be encouraged by that performance [Post edited 25 Nov 2017 17:47]

Good call about Daniels - I said similar when the MotM award was announced - although Rathbone's man marking job on Maddison was also worthy.

Match thread: Peterborough H on 17:58 - Nov 25 with 3539 views | RAFC_1990 | Funny how we see the game, I thought Daniels was excellent defensively but very shaky on the ball. I thought Mcgahey was excellent throughout both on and off the ball. Ollie was excellent, it wasn't the prettiest of wins but an absolute massive one!
