Like him or loathe him, they have called the Omicron wave far better than Duffer Drakeford, The Wild Witch and Sleepy (Yawn) Starmer. The benefits of this far outweigh the negatives of the lockdown breaches (but no doubt the kiddies will cling on to the "Miss, he did this to me" approach). Both Norway and Netherlands have reported that low single digit percentages of people in CC have Omicron. Milder complications and shorter hospital stays.

Don't expect the NHS to be waving this particular flag, but I bet Boris will be on it pretty soon and like magic, the party allegations will shrink into the background.

And I'm not even a Boris supporter.

I'd like to know who keeps leaking details of these parties every other week. They must have an agenda. Cummings is involved somewhere no doubt...

They are held in public buildings and clearly no one was bothered about trying to cover them up. If they are like every other organisation in the country, work gossip spreads like wildfire and with so many media people around it must be impossible to keep much under wraps for long. The problem for the media is getting people to go on record. Many people like to spread gossip but don’t want their names attached. As more firm evidence comes to light I expect it is because more people are coming forward with solid information. There will be cleaning staff for example who will be shifting bins full of party leftovers. Johnson started off telling us that there were no parties, now we are up to 12. Now he is trying to pass them off as working - drinking and dancing is working apparently. You would like to think that some of the attendees of these “working parties” have realised what is going on here and that they are not going to be complicite with the lying and deception any longer. If Johnson’s performance at the dispatch box the other day wasn’t enough to tip the scales, then what on Earth have we become as a country? It, hopefully, has gone well past someone like Cummings getting his revenge.

Society is certainly going to the dogs, especially in Parliament offices. Barry Gardiner accepts c £500k donation from a Chinese lady for staff costs and she is now is exposed as a possible spy. £500k would buy a lot of office staff yet MI5 said it was ok!

They need to fund their expensive habits. To be fair to Boris, he prefers booze as he said he found cocaine didn't do much for him.

Yet people will still vote tory, even when they have a knees up before the Queens funeral, they'll still vote for them as Corbyn (insert whoever but they'll still mention Corbyn in 100 years time) would be so much worse, while in No 10 they were laughing at their own voters people were dying, there should be an intelligence test before you vote.
Its like an equivalent or some schism of Stockholm syndrome, or if you will like an abused dog, they'll always come back after being mistreated, and they in the corridors of power laugh at Dave the f**kwit voting for them even while he's getting poorer and worse off.
It really is beyond belief.

For me the big story here is while the gullible people were being fed fear porn and believing it, the cabinet (and countless other Elites) were obviously not even slightly worried about a so called killer virus and were carrying on as normal. When are more people going to wake up to the fact that we have all been played???

I wholly disapprove of what you say and will defend to the death your right to say it.

I understand Sogs that it personally offends you when anyone steps outside of the BBC mainstream narrative and challenges your naïve world view, but it is very lazy and tiresome of you to dismiss everything as a "conspiracy theory" which in your head is short hand for tin foil hat nonsense and meant to close people down.

These parties clearly show that they were not scared of the so called killer virus at the same time as they were telling the rest of us not to see loved ones because there was a killer virus about. Is that true or is it a conspiracy theory?

It's a simple question Sogs, so don't try and sidestep it with your emotive accusations.

Can we not clearly deduce from the behaviour of our politicians and other Elites, who had much more information than us on this virus that they were not the slightest bit worried about catching Covid, when at the same time they were using draconian measures on the ordinary people such as preventing family from seeing dying loved ones?

Johnson was clearly not worried about getting covid, until he contracted it. His opinion of it seemed to change after that. It is an emotive subject. Why? Because in 2 years it has killed and maimed millions of people.

It's mainly been most deadly for the very elderly, it has always been most aggressive and fatal to those in the pensionable age bracket and those with underlying health issues...this group should of been safeguarded and financially supported...everyone else should of carried on regardless..no masks no vaccines and no bloody tests..if you were too ill to work you'd stay at home..like a cold or flu...no damage to economy or mental health..its been over the top mismanagement and misinformation...as a previous poster indicated, 650 deaths in 24 months In those outside of the most at risk groups is fractional in comparison to the damage incurred through ridiculous guidance.

Even to this day the advice is illogical and nonsensical and the growing amount of side effects from experimental vaccines isn't looking great either.

You've been nudged so effectively that you've shut down and only absorb fear.

Nice graph, can you answer the question?
My friend's wife was dealing with terminal cancer (in a home). She had weeks left, She got covid in the home and when she died, was listed as a COVID death - he was/is furious

however, she was one of the 650 people, under the age of 65, who have died WITH covid over the last 2 years in the UK.

There is no point in answering your question because in your own head this is not a big deal. The thing is that it has killed millions of people around the world in the last two years but you carry on looking at the odd ones to make your case instead of looking at the numbers who have passed away in covid wards, being treated for, yes, covid.
We are still losing the equivalent of a plane crash every day due to this virus. I wonder how you would feel about flying if a plane crashed every day?

Misinformation alert..

More people died at home last year than in hospital...

Any disease that requires a within 28 day classification, and a WITH submission is open to all kinds of Misinformation and incorrect classification...

2020 was the 15th lowest excess mortality rate since the start of the millennium (despite the government saying nearly 90000 had perished..reality 60000 WITH...NOT OF)..

I'd be grateful if you could give us all a clear indication of those that have passed away OF covid-19..not WITH..not really to much to ask for in this day and age.

We have had these conversations before. How many people died of AIDS rather than with it? I think most reasonable people understand what the situation is but you carry on trying to pick holes and pretend that it hasn’t been a big deal. It has been a big deal, and still is. Less so now thankfully due to vaccines and new treatments but people who pretend that it is nothing more than a cold are clearly not paying attention.

Civil servants and MP's ignoring the very advice they created shows the real difference from the media fear promoted and the actual reality...

You've been nudged to the maximum..you cant see beyond the fear they've hammered into the population from wildly inaccurate and wholly misleading advice/scaremongering.

March 2020...don't go outside its floating in the atmosphere everywhere..stay at home and close all windows

June 2021 go outside its far safer ..December 2021..open your windows regularly and let the virus out..you believe every last little bit of this nonsense..hook line and sinker.

Anyway..we really need clarity on those that died OF covid-19..that should be so easy to classify in the 21st century..why can't they?
