One can hope that if the big 5 or 6 clubs go (and what a joke if Spurs are deemed part of it) that the rest make sure the door is firmly shut and there is no returning back. Fans of these clubs will soon get pïssed off when they cannot get to see their teams away week in, week out.
That said, if these clubs do move on all it would do is buy the rest of us a good decade or so of enjoyment until the next batch of cartel clubs begin to take shape in the newly formed domestic set up. |  |

The nub of the issue (as in life generally) is to apply the same rules to everyone equally. I'm not keen on Everton, but it is galling to see them seemingly singled out whilst others with far longer rap sheets seem to get away with it. I cant stand Luton either (I have a long list..!) but they were unfairly shafted in the recent past too as they just weren't big enough to count... |  |

I think the issues Everton have had run far deeper than merely breaching the financial fair play rule, it is about who they have got into bed with
Alisher Usmanov put a lot of money into the club allegedly though several different guises with it being subsequently revealed that he had been barred from entering the UK six months before he was fully sanctioned after it kicked off with Ukraine
Secondly there is the case of a loan from a company that did not have a single employee, a website or a phone number.
Thirdly there was the question of who actually owned Everton and there are allegations that Moshiri was really a puppet of Usmanov, several managers claimed they had been interviewed for the Everton job with Usmanov present, although Everton claim otherwise.
The more you read about it, it appears that Everton have been used and are now paying the price, of course that is not the fault of the fans, but this is the grey area, clubs can't just overspend and then the owner sell the club and the new people get the stake wiped clean.

But all of the above, do not directly relate to this arbitrary Profit and Sustainability punishment. All of what you have said is factual and in the public domain, however it doesn’t warrant points deduction.
Everton’s ‘crime’ is that they spent 19.5 million over the 105 million they were ‘permitted’ to spend. Everton’s case being that there were many mitigations for this, all of which were not agreed by the ‘independent’ committee. Those three ‘independent’ members being ex employees of Leeds, West Ham and Chelsea.
As others have said, Everton have been used as a scapegoat to highlight that the shitbags at the PL can mark their own homework and don’t need any government regulation.
Just wait until Newcastle start sponsoring Callum Wilson’s shin pads for £30 million a pop or the tea urn in the dressing room for £10 million whilst the premier league turn a blind eye and they are heralded by Sky and all the other media outlets. | | | |

Well also hopefully we’ll of all learned from our mistakes and will make the English football competitive once again, with the prem, FA Cup and EFL Cup all being won by different teams every year, and different teams making Europe each year, with no more major gaps between 6th and 7th being bigger than the gaps between 7th and 18th!
