Can I ask that if people cant write something constructive, then please don't post. This is a sad and tragic story, for friends and relatives of Terry Coles.

A lovely gesture and sentiment.

Why on earth people feel the need to want to try to be clever etc is beyond me. Just be respectful if that is too much to ask?!

Apparently it is.

What about that Swans fan murdered in Cardiff, by a Palace fan in 1980 or there abouts?

Barry Rondeau stabbed and killed Swans fan, David Williams, who was on his way to the second FA Cup replay between Crystal Palace and The Swans at Ninian Park in 1980.

Whoever made the decision for this game to be played at Ninian Park, has a lot to answer for. As does whoever made the decision to allow a police horse down that lane at Rotherham.

I went to that Palace 2nd FA Cup replay at Ninian Park.

As you say a crazy choice of 'neutral' venue I was convinced it was a Cardiff fan who had stabbed David Williams that night but it wasn't so.

Was a hell of a game though David Giles 'the Welsh Kevin Keegan' !!

Yes I was going to travel down but snowed heavily in the Midlands.

Fair weather fans see.

As far as today went, Kevin Johns said a few words before the game, but due to the poor P.A. system it was difficult to catch what he said. They have to sort it out it's been 11 years now

It was very bad we skidded off the road once on the way there.

I agree Clive the PA system is a joke.

Killed himself in prison, apparently

Saved us taxpayers a few quid doing that.

Brutal assessment but will never forget that night I was terrified as a young lad when we heard in the ground that a Swans fan had been murdered outside Ninian Park.

The problem is ....

Where do you draw the line ?

A sentimental story, a loss of life is inexcusable....

South Yorkshire Police yet again we need a full inquest....
