The Perfect First Half... 21:21 - May 18 with 2067 viewsplanetswansadmin

It is always with fondness ahead of a West Brom game that I think back to a magical night in November 2012 when the Swans tore apart the Baggies at the Liberty in what I can only describe as a first half of total football.

90 minutes - Liverpool away in the Capital One Cup under Laudrup. Played them off the park and then could hit on the break at will. Top all round performance that was.

Edit. That WBA first half was the best football I've seen live, of anyone anywhere, I think.

Swans v West Brom....about as near to perfection as it gets.
Liverpool v Swans....not far behind (Joey & Jonjo is the red midfield chasing shadows).

I have watched the Swans for 50 years. Without doubt that night we played the best football I have ever seen from a Swansea team.

Similar for me, been watching The Swans since '77-'78 and that first 45 was the best I have ever witnessed. Would love it if somebody out there could find the highlights and post them on here for viewing. Or even better...the entire half!

Up there also has to be the 3-0 rout of them up the road to help send them down, Pablo again instrumental in that game (ok it was a second half).

Thank you, goodnight and bollocks

Would we have won that game had Laudrup still been in charge I wonder...
