That's exactly what I have been doing, we've just got back from a nice weekend visiting my brother and his fiancé in Newton Abbot. But UJ is right of course that had I been here I'd have pointed out that most of the hilarious (no, honest) registration numbers on the thread don't meet the legally prescribed format. Because I'm always on duty serving the nation.

Yeah it's not far from the racecourse. It's a nice little town. We got the train from Newport (long story) cos we didn't fancy the bank holiday battle on the M5 on Friday and the wife isn't really up to a long car journey at the mo.

Very wise. I don't venture out on the roads unless working on a bank holiday weekend, I've wasted hours stuck in traffic in my younger years. Was it bus service back to Swansea?

That's why we drove as far as Newport and left the car there. If we'd had a train all the way back we'd have had to get a bus from Newport to Cardiff and then back on the train to Swansea. F*ck that, we thought
