Loads were bussed in from Spain, I read lots of articles about it, it was a sham, even the so called bbc style interviews for balance where people said they were Catalan and supported Madrid were found to have been Spaniards living there for a few months or a year or two tops, they did find one non immigrant but they were second generation who's parents and husband were Spanish. Catalans are solidly for independence.

I should stay clear of the racing tips in The Morning Star if I were you.

How the hell are they going to be a legally recognised constitutional Independent state?
The government of Spain won't allow this to happen, besides only a small turnout of 43% does not constitute a fair and legally representative vote, another one at the very least should take place.
It's like the south-east of England declaring itself independent of the rest of the UK...this is the powerhouse where most of the money and revenue is raised for the country, exactly the same situation as Catalonia and Spain. The main cities of Barcelona and Valencia are huge and generate so much money for the rest of Spain , It's understandable why they want to keep it all for themselves after all.
The only option open now to the Spanish government is intervention into the Catalonian parliament by force in order to prevent various processes taking place that would allow it to become constitutionally established as a legal entity. Do they have the balls to do this? Let's wait and see.
A new Spanish Civil War maybe on the horizon.
The referendum was won. 90% in favour of independence with 43% turnout equates to circa 39%
Without threats and police violence if the other 57% non voters had turned out, independent movement would only need 20% to say yes to secure 50% on a 100% turnout.
I think a few weeks on the movement is even stronger due to the actions in Madrid
Catalonia you should be free (on a football note, Barcelona will always be champions of Catalonia, bit like the yanks and American football)

Well the vote in 50 days will give us the answer.
Residents only can vote.
They are going to try and frighten the Catalans, the Catalans saw the Spanish police violence against them and the unsaid threats of the tanks rolling in bound to influence some people.
Look at the tricks the British state pulled in Scotland the end result was surprisingly close, I think in a fair run referendum the Scottish independence movement would have won.

I notice the Swans fan that did the recent Catalonia song that has been knocking about has had nearly 100k views on youtube, good song and vid, the Welsh football shirt, with the Owain Glyndwr colours and the Catalan flag match.

I hadn't heard that Swansea boyo songs before, good pop songs, he has got a nice vid (with song) of Port Talbot and the Catalan one seems well put together, don't know the back streets and alleyways of Swansea though, then again I hadn't heard that Neath Plaid professor jazz before the election either and that sounded good as well but what do I know, the only art I know is the art of goalscoring, lol.

It's to be expected from the Conservatives, same as over here.
Now if Ms Wood was in charge wealth would be spread, it would be entertaining to see those with obscene wealth squeezed until the pips squeaked.
What do you regard as obscene wealth Trampie?
And it'd be great to hear an explanation about why exactly anyone would carry on working extreme hours, moving around, often away from families etc, if all that then happened was they paid it all in tax to support those that didn't want to make any sacrifice.
Given that the last time tax was raised the overall tax take dropped, it's difficult to understand your position, other than it being one of jealousy and spite.

I would be paying more tax Lisa in a high tax, high spend, share the wealth type society, don't assume you work harder than me or have more assets than me because that might not be the case, it would be crass to talk of one's relative wealth but I'm not a socialist (been called a Communist a few times) because I'm jealous of others, I myself would end up paying more into the pot which I would be happy to do so if it improved society.
Universal Credit is coming Lisa, there won't be enough jobs to go around, your job might not survive the cut. The ones that have jobs in the future will have their wage and universal credit and those without a job just universal credit, some people that have the necessary skills will have a choice - work and have more money than the rest or don't work (others won't have a choice).

Oh, I'm not assuming anything Trampie and I'm pretty certain my 'job' will survive the cut (I have no idea how you think I'm going to be affected by universal credit by the way). But you didn't answer my question.
How do you plan on incentivising anyone to put themselves out, make huge sacrifices and work hard to create wealth for themselves and jobs for others if you're going to take it all in tax?
I'll wait for you to answer.

The incentive for those wanting more money is having a wage by having a job, not everyone will have a job.

No. That doesn't answer the question.
I'm not talking about people 'having a job', I'm talking about people being prepared to slog away for years to create wealth for themselves and others.
You appear to think there are people who don't work and then people with jobs. I'm talking about those that create those jobs in the first place. How are you going to incentivise them to do so if you simply tax it all away?
By the way - if you can't understand the question, you are not one of those that I'm talking about.

They would still reap the rewards of creating wealth, setting up business and investing in business.

No they won't.
They'll pay it all away in tax if you have your way. "Until the pips squeak" you said.
As soon as someone pays a lot more in tax than they keep for themselves, you've lost them and they are no longer incentivised to create wealth and opportunities for themselves and others.
But, you've, in effect, answered my question. It's all utter nonsense. You have no idea how you are going to do it, you just want someone, anyone, to pay tax to support those that are, in your eyes, more deserving.
And you're not one of them, as you can't see the issue in the first place, let alone give an answer to it.

The Scandinavian countries tax as a percentage of GDP are over 50% (Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark), deemed as more successful than the UK on lots of measures aren't they.

There are no OECD countries with a tax take in excess of 50% of GDP.
If you are talking individual taxation (not including VAT for example), then Denmark has a top marginal personal tax rate of 51.5%, Sweden 59%, Norway 46%, Finland 39.5% and the U.K. 47%.
If you want to talk about fair taxation, how about finding out something about it first?
As I suspected, you are simply preaching the politics of envy.
Start focusing on stuff that makes a difference Trampie, rather than spouting vacuous platitudes. Same goes for Leanne Wood, who is an idiot.
Firstly, start collecting tax properly. Stop avoidance. The obscenely wealthy as you call them, just don't pay, and they won't pay if it's increased. Clamp down on that. Secondly don't increase tax for a political point if it means less money is collected. It's the money that's important, not point scoring.
Thirdly, recognise that Britain (and Wales), will become wealthier for everyone if businesses are set up and allowed to flourish. Wales doesn't need more handouts, it needs more investment, more companies creating more jobs, and better jobs. The sound bites from Leanne (and people like you), put businesses off coming to Wales.
