GCHQ is so far underground and the anti missile shoit that going on there, I wonder how that will exist with incoming missiles.
I don't see the point in targeting Faslane as the subs will have been mobilised and discharged.
Cardiff is an obvious target though. | |

If there is no build up all the warning GCHQ (the massive above ground section) and Faslane have is four minutes. The subs take longer than 4 minutes to put to sea and there is always one in for repair. They are both targeted and farkall will stop a multiple ICBM attack. | |

It will take out the port of Swansea and more importantly the deep port of Port Talbot.
Joking aside, any large government building is a target to stop it being used by any sort of post "war" government - depending on how big an exchange it is and therefore if anything is left. | |

I think (quote me if I am wrong) that it was estimated during the cold war that around 200-300 megatons would hit the the UK in total. Around 3000 in an East-West confrontation.
I saw a cold war map too in one of the Sunday rags (Wales on Sunday), and they had Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, St Athan as main South Wales targets as well as RAF bases in North Wales. Milford Haven got one too. |  |
