The problem was hanging on for this season.
Fergie stated he was retiring when aged 60. Players gave up - so when staying on, needed to do a fair bit of work.
We've 2 years of parachute payments, keeping Warnock on for 1 season imo was a mistake. I;d have thanked him for his efforts and gone new manager, preferably Bellamy, giving him this season to prepare then next season to target promotion.
Whoever comes in will have a single parachute payment season, which imo is a mistake. |  | | |
