Any sales will encourage more asset stripping allegations.
Deal with it.

If the club is serious about promotion they are most certainly required for the next 18 games. That's 36 points. Takes us to 81 points maximum total. I'm not sure that will even win the league.

We have the play offs as a second best, that's another potential 3 games plus severe stress on the squad. Ayew and Celina with what we have is definitely required, the yanks have come this far, spent nothing but through Cooper got in some decent loans.

If they get greedy again we may as well knock it on the head now, leave the decisions until May, see what we have, they could easily be 150 million better off than a greedy grab at 10 or 15.

OK I've changed it.

That's not what Lisa has said previously.

They do see the monthly accounts, and there is nothing in there to raise any alarms. She also says that there are more detailed accounts which they don't see, which detail the what and why's or something like that.

Lisa was a bit snarky with Jasper because she thinks he's someone connected to either the Americans or the sell outs, I forget which now but I'm sure she will be along to put me right.

You’re all partly right. The trust sees the monthly management accounts but was asked to sign an NDA to have access to further detail.

Have The Trust seen anything in those monthly accounts that make them think that money is being siphoned over the pond to pay for Rooney's wages, Modric transfer fee or any other such nonsense?

But what they have seen hasn't, or didn't raise any concerns, which i think is quite important.

I agree, that is quite important.
But maybe the bits that may raise concerns are in the bits their not showing. Otherwise, why would they not show them? Did they even give a reason they couldn't or wouldn't show them?

No I don’t think so, but I don’t look at them. They’d mean nothing to me, I’m not a numbers person. The finance sub group is Lisa, Stuart and Uxy. I’m sure one of them would have mentioned something dodgy. But again, I don’t know if those accounts would show enough detail to be sure, hence the request some time ago for the more detailed info, which was declined.

Well yeah, that is the million dollar question.

At the moment there is no sign of anything untoward, so I'm going with that until proven otherwise.

How much are shareholders usually entitled to see? Legally it's just an annual statement for a basic shareholder of a company.

There's rarely ever a benefit to a company showing the intricacies of all their financials to the general public. And pity the poor sod who has to organise it all. There's no benefit beyond putting minds at rest that will no doubt still find ways to justify their suspicions that tens of millions have gone into shifty yank pockets.

Intricacies of all their financials to the general public? What on earth are you on about? The Trust owns 21% of the company. You class that as a basic shareholder? You’re comment about the poor sod who has to organize it all really takes the biscuit. My heart bleeds.

Do they contribute 21% of the effort?
A lotto talk of the American 'owners' notoutting their hands in their pocket but we rarely hear request for the Trust to reduce a sm the would represent 21% of a total donated / loans by the other 69%
If there is a shareholders' bonus / profit are they not entitled to their 21% share?

You may be right about the legal position, but we are not talking about Mrs Miggins who owns a £100 of BT shares, we are talking about an organisation that owns 20% of the club.

Who is saying that the accounts should be shown to the general public in their entirety? I for one would have been happy with them being shown to the Trust or a group of individuals representing the Trust who could then (working on the bases that everything is above board) reassure the members.
The benefits just might be that fans would understand what’s happened, the gravity of the situation and they may actually be prepared to start buying things like merchandise etc. There will be some who won’t out of protest re the sale etc, but others may.

I wouldn’t be in favour of a dilution of the Trust’s ownership of course not. You can wheel that old chestnut out Badlands as a nice bit of whataboutery. The issue is transparency the lack of which fuels speculation. Who knows? The Yanks may be more honest than the last set of owners.

The Trust is entitled to any information it requests as a company director not as a shareholder.

Which you’ve been told repeatedly but choose to ignore.

Describing the Trust as the ‘general public’ says everything about your attitude to the Trust.

It’s a major shareholder and, importantly, a director of the company that owns the club.

A company director has a very specific set of legal responsibilities. As such, they have access to all company information necessary for them to shoulder that responsibility.

The Trust’s other guise as a shareholder is of secondary importance in this matter.

That's what's happening with trust reps getting to see monthly management accounts rather than a simple annual statement. But evidently that's not enough either so they must be hiding something etc. we know the routine by now.

Given you have no idea what is ‘enough’ and what isn’t, I have no idea what you are basing your opinion on. You don’t know what is received, you don’t understand finance (by your admission) and you don’t understand the law.

Apart from that...

No one has said anyone is hiding anything (no one from the Trust) but it’s been said that detail that’s been requested has not been provided, and, therefore, detailed analysis can not be completed. Those are the facts.
