Our permanent signings, Celina aside, have been pretty poor under both Potter and Cooper. I’m not surprised that Peterson hasn’t been getting games, in the few chances he’s had, he’s produced a couple of exceptional moments per game but been largely anonymous.
Jury still out on Bidwell and Dhanda.
Early days on Brewster and Gallagher, but at least you can see what they could bring to the team. Hopefully Guéhi will be the same. | | | |

Peterson's confidence was on the floor after his blunder against Fulham and the reaction of some in the crowd when played again didn't help.
Although I didn't rate him as high as some he might have offered something but he isn't young player.
Probably the best for him and us was to get away from Swansea for a while and hopefully get game time and rebuild confidence for next season. |  |

Cooper seemed to lose faith in him very quickly. Early on we were told he was being patient but obviously that's not the case. We've hardly been in imperious form since August and he's not been in the matchday squad as often as not.
Would be funny if both he and Asoro end up coming back at the end of the season, should their new clubs not want them. At least Peterson played well in the u23s, more than I can say for Joel. But thankfully Groningen do seem to be playing him now after a quiet start out there. | | | |

Quite clearly a player with ability who is capable of brilliance but equally capable of being a liability and nowhere near consistent enough to be starting games regularly in the Championship. He's got something though and if he can find that consistency, improve his decision making and produce the goods more regularly then there's a good player in there somewhere. | |

It’s not as if he hasn’t been training every day or playing for the development team. He hasn’t been able to force his way into the team, partly because Cooper hasn’t felt he’s merited it and partly because we are playing Ayew and Celina our wide to try to get them both and Byers into the team.
If the saving on Nordfeldt and Petersons wages cover Brewster, Gallagher and Guéhi, it already looks good business. Don’t forget Cooper and Britton both stated we would be unlikely to bring anyone in this window. | | | |

My impressions of Peterson haven't been great, while he is quick and likes to run at players his distribution in transition from defence to midfield has ranged from average to terrible. There were a few instances of hospital passes from him that resulted in a turnover of possession and from there directly into a goal for the opposition.
If we could keep him consistently on the front foot then there is a real player there, but its the other side of his game that I feel has been letting him down. | | | |
