Nice to see that many teachers are going to be staying in school to look after the front line workers children. Bravo.

How do the children and their guardians know who is to go to school and who is not ?, it seemed like what the intention is is to close most schools completely and to have this group of children being baby sat in just certain schools down the track.
Boris was waffling and if you don't speak baffoonery it's almost impossible to understand what he is saying.

What illness have they faked that will have them off for 6 months on full pay?

One with a frozen shoulder, and one with stress. I fully appreciate most teachers do a great job, unfortunately people like this let the profession down. It was the same in the NHS when I worked there for nearly 25 years.

As I said in my previous post, there is lots to be worked out and defined. Nobody has all of the answers right now but I'm certain that our great country and kingdom can work it out.

Monday is in just a few days time, who should be going to school on Monday and who should not is the question.

Have you not noticed how quickly this is changing and evolving?

Most of the European automotive industry went to work on Monday morning. By lunchtime on Wednesday only part of JLR and some other small pockets are still working. This is just one example.

The pace of change is huge across many facets of life.

My wife has returned from work this evening with a 'roll up the sleeves' attitude. One of her ideas is to set up a scheme where she can deliver school prepared meals out to vulnerable children who don't qualify for continued schooling. There is clearly a lot of working out to be done with all of this as it's not practical to have all schools in Llanelli open with just a handful of children in each.

Love it!

We’ve had (some) success so far today talking to local food businesses about them delivering meals to disadvantaged families. Now the government have said they’ll back schools financially with projects like this we can roll it out further.

Thankfully our magnificent NHS staff will not be 'shutting the gates'!

There is currently major reorganisation/strategy for redeployment involving change to employment status and working conditions going on within SW Wales NHS.

To top that stressful training/re-training of most urgency that must be learnt and put into practice in only a fraction of the usually required time. There is going to be selfless dedication of type that will be written into history books!

It looks like a close family member of mine is to be sent right into the midst of an incoming storm. She and many, many, many more others are obviously worried for their own well being. They worry about their own elderly Mams, Dads and other family members. They worry for the well being of their patients also.

Thankfully there are real hero's now running towards danger of whom will never, ever, ever wave a white flag... So please spare a thought for ALL NHS staff and ALL what they'll will be going through during these unprecedented times!

You're implying in your opening line that teachers are running away from work with smiles on their faces. That's not the case.

Big relief in our house this evening that the schools are closing, wife has been very anxious over it.
All relevant papers in, New printer and the boss will be home schooling them...... I give it a few days until they break her 😁😁

I thought vunerable children were going to qualify to go in, but regardless well done to Mrs Cooperman.

They currently have no idea as to who qualifies and who doesn't. It needs working through and formalising.

I have to applaud the offer to have children of NHS, delivery drivers etc still attend.

Must applaud the teachers who are volunteering to go in to look after these children.

This is to be sorted Friday so I have been informed. My wife's school has no kids in Friday and only staff.... The attempt is to iron certain things out then.
