Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Although not on the board of directors any more, he still owns 15% of the company.

It's what politicians do, they are mostly the same. Labour politicians tell us one thing but do another too. It's why politicians are so distrusted across the board.

Even saying that, if Mogg owns 15% shares in a company and profits because of that company's actions, is everyone who owns shares bad? What is the full list of shareholders?

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Rubbish. Again.

Every company who has a presence in the EU market need to open a subisdiary in order to continue trading there, especially if you have clients in that market.

What are they gonna do? "Oohh Rees Mogg is a shareholder, but some people might get upset at that. Fck it, lets take a massive loss when we are leglly entitled and encouraged by the EU to set up a business line there". Fck my eyes.

"Michu, Britton and Williams could have won 3-0 on their own. They wouldn't have required a keeper."

The issue is why was Rees-Mogg vigorously pushing for us to leave the EU and at the same time a business venture he is involved in was set up inside the EU.

It seems like his firm is better off inside the EU yet he wants the rest of us in the UK to be outside the EU, not an easy circle to square that one.

Mate, he has a 15% shareholding in an Investment Company. He wouldnt have had much, if anything, to do with it. The Board of Directors who run the company would have instructed it. I take your point tho, he is a fannny

Yeah, but he only currently holds 15% of the business. The holders of the other 85% will expect the Board to make the correct decisions for them, irrespective of the ethical implications of Moggs' political views.

Quite possibly. They appear to be EM investment having looked at them so dont do much business in the EU or UK. Suspect they have subsid there to take advantage of Irelands (EU) "tax efficiencies" like Facebook and Google etc do. Any business would do it tbf as due diligence, but yeah. Doesnt shine a good light on him given his position.

The irony is that people didn't want the UK becoming a low tax economy, the EU especially didn't want us setting that up right on their doorstep yet it's EU rules and ROI's low tax economy (and a few other EU members too) that enables the corporations to avoid paying billions of tax in the UK.

This JRM situation, I wonder how many other MP's are in a similar, if less publicised position. It's a very good argument for increasing MP's wages but banning them from any outside interests during their term in office and for a set time after. That is one Gordian knot I doubt will evet be untangled and even Alexanders solution won't cut it this time.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?
