| Decision upheld not to prosecute soldiers in NI 13:03 - Sep 29 with 6549 views | onehunglow | Sense at last. Court of Appeal upholds the decision not to prosecute soldiers for "bloody Sunday". God only knows how those soldiers have suffered under this cloud for almost 50 years. A filthy ,dirty war where they were hung out to dry by a succession of British Governments. That day is of course now folklore in Londonderry and the IRA supporters are of course livid with the decision. | |

His ignorance on the subject is quite telling . Once someone starts calling names like a petulant child you know the debate is lost

Appalling. Thomas was every bit as evil a Saville ,only difference being he used his Chapel and beloved Mam to cover his tracks. A Labour man too

| Decision upheld not to prosecute soldiers in NI on 11:44 - Oct 6 with 783 views | onehunglow | That is because soldiers are and have been accused of killing IRA and/or their supporters. Be honest, did you support the aims of the IRA. | |

| Decision upheld not to prosecute soldiers in NI on 11:56 - Oct 6 with 771 views | trampie | I don't support the killing of innocence people Perch. As regards the IRA are you talking about the Provo's ? ,because there was several Republican groups and more than one IRA and they had slightly (?) different aims. [Post edited 6 Oct 2020 11:57]

In the context of this topic aren't the two intrinsically linked?.

If IRA had beaten the British and Ireland was united ,even against the wishes of the majority protestants, their aim and yours would have been achieved. Frankly, I cannot see why you are so obsessed with Ireland. Wales would be split asunder, btw, with independence. We couldnt decide where the capital would be. Caernarvon still believes it should have been made capital it being more Welsh in culture than the south

So what's the question exactly ?

| Decision upheld not to prosecute soldiers in NI on 14:49 - Oct 6 with 716 views | trampie | What about the wishes of all of Ireland Perch (and not just a selected few) ? The last poll I seen said a majority in the North and a landslide in the South for a united Ireland. Even when you look at the history of the joint from English politicians view point they clearly know it's going to go, it's only a matter of time, they reckon it was going to go but the first world war intervened, then they offered it to Ireland during the second World war if they gave up their neutrality, then they were going to give it to them during the troubles but realised the Garda would not be able prevent even more deaths than what the Brits was doing as the wannabe English were going to kick off even more than they had been. The last agreement is leaving it open for when there is a majority for a united Ireland (both North and South) which they know is only a matter of time, even the birth rate will help to see to that. My only interest is our soldiers should not have been out there, the place should be nothing to do with us and don't forget it's my tax money that is paying for it, I don't like people being treated as second class either when we was ruling the place . I suppose we can all be guilty of selective memories but 20 years of peace you sure about that ? |
50% right ? .. I must have got the grandad part wrong, i guess ?

I certainly support a united Ireland. I do not support any violence at all to achieve it. Its now as inevitable as night follows day. John Lennon and Paul McCartney agree with me, of course. [Post edited 6 Oct 2020 23:41]

You live in England, thats your problem. Are you to take the blame for every decision made by Westminster ? The point is you cant control Westminster, can you ? Likewise i cant control the actions of the Irish Govt or others in Ireland. That does not mean i simply cant believe it certain things, nor you. Northern Ireland is not a real country its as simple as that. Its the north of Ireland. Shall we agree on that ....?

Great Britain is a geographical feature. An island. On that island there are 3 nations ...Cymru, Scotland, and Lloegr. No such nation as GB. You should know this stuff. Shall we agree on that ?

Agree NI Scotland Wales and England are not proper countries as recognised by the UN. They are all one country called the UK.
