| Do the Swans really need another striker : Renewed interest in Charlie Kelman on 18:37 - Oct 9 by ReslovenSwan1 | The DC angle is a hook. On the face of it QPR v Swansea for a home counties boy is no contest. However the USA angle might be enough to swing it Swansea's way especially if he is speaking to kindred spirits. If Swansea signed him and sent him to Newport people would not object so much. |
I would absolutely object to paying over a million pound for a player we aren’t interested in using yet. We aren’t in the premier league anymore.

Do you remember this story, https://www.walesonline.co.uk/ Then there was this, https://www.walesonline.co.uk/ So with the club saying we have very little money for transfers and that players will leave but Cooper saying we need a striker (and a CB) why would we spend 1.5 million on a player to loan out? Now you're calling DC a hook? Kelman either signs for us or he doesn't but I don't see Cooper wanting a striker and then promising to send him home for a year when the first team is short. It makes absolutely no sense. Why are you trying so hard to justify this? You sound like an apologist. Out of interest, besides you, I wonder if anyone else actually thinks this a good idea?

I depends if he is a real talent going really cheap or not. If you have an agent who you trust and he says you must buy this boy over anyone else at all costs, I would expect the board to back him. If they sit down with the lad and he says I prefer QPR to Swansea "cos Im a London boy" the club could play the DC card to get him to sign on the dotted line. There are whole host of reasons that that might appeal to him. If it was me I would go for the experience. Another is visiblity for the international team and PR opportunities for the kid in the commercial world. All the while owned by Swansea. US people are far more open to new ideas and far more enterprise in their approach. I am not surprised at all that my fellow Welsh people cannot see the benefits.
