| Vaccine roll out next week on 20:14 - Dec 6 by Lohengrin | Now it is, I think. The house building and resultant population has just exploded in the last thirty years. |
Cimla has an estimated population of 3,787, Skewen ,8,500, Sandfields, 13,800

I don’t think that calculation is anywhere near. It looks like they have roped areas together and placed them under the umbrella of ‘Skewen’and ‘Sandfields.’

What are they calling Sandfields though? Are they lumping old Aberavon, Fairfield, Little Warren etc.. in with it? Same with Skewen, is that with Neath Abbey, Longford and Lonlas etc..? On the face of it the figure for Cimla seems very low. There must be that many on the Wimpy site alone?

No, that would come under Aberavon. Little Warren is Sandfields, though and Lonlas is Skewen

These areas are approimately 7000 residents so areas are grouped together. Pontardawe for example includes Alltwen, Rhos and Trebanos and Clydach includes Ynystawe, Glais and Craig Cefn Parc. Skewen includes Jersey Marine and Crymlin Burrows. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Sandfields is in two wards , east and west and the combined population is as i stated earlier. Skewen is more complicated now, because it comes under Coedffranc now. I had the population of Skewen from Wikileaks

Well done to our EU scientists for making this vaccine. The all 4 nations approach will ensure all the parts of the uk are equally protected.

Glad you agree that the UK works better together and the Westminster approach to the vaccine was the best way.

Worrying , can only assume that testing of the new drug never picked it up, but there again how much testing was done ? Is the Westminster Government immune from being sued for negligence if there are safety issues with this drug they have rolled out quick sharp ? If this story is true it's a very bad start. I don't know about the government, but vaccine manufacturers have been given immunity. I think 4 cases were picked up during the trials and 2 of those vaccinated had Bell's Palsy.

It had to happen, I suppose. The rest of NPT won’t be far behind.

NPT have been urging all parents to continue sending their children to school as normal, and they won't be blowing up early. If i had children still of school age, they would not be going to school after this Friday. I would not want them isolating over Xmas.

Dwr y Felin sent out a text yesterday saying they will be open until the 18th. Maybe more in hope than expectation because if things there get bad enough surely they will be proactive and make the best decision? My wife (being an NHS worker) has already had her jab, it's made her feel a bit like she has a head cold, she feels cold and feels like her sinuses are full. My son shouldn't have it because he has a severe food allergy but he''s 12 so that's not so important. I'm the one that's waiting now. The Welsh scientific advisor fell said this morning, if things get really bad after Christmas they may again stop all non essential treatment. So rather than change their minds and do what a lot of people may consider right and sensible, instead they are prepared to make people wait longer for treatment?

My son will still be going if school is open. I'm not particularly worried about him having to isolate and spoiling Christmas, more worried that he'll bring it home and I'll catch it given that I am a high risk health category. Still, I'll follow the rules.

I didn’t even consider Juniors and Infants. When they made the secondary announcement on the wireless I’d automatically assumed it meant ALL schools?
