Why is our Government, NICE & the NHS allowing people to suffer the symptoms of COVID, hospitalisation, intensive care and death?
What advise do those bodies provide for reducing the effects of COVID?
When people get a positive Test result what advise are they given?
The answer to those last two questions is NOTHING.

Stay at home until your symptoms become serious or you get better is their only answer, which is no answer.
The mantra of those bodies is "the only way out is lockdowns and vaccines".

While the rest of the world outside the UK, USA & Western Europe are successfully using various drugs to improve people's chances of not getting COVID, not suffering so badly, not ending up in hospital and not dying.

The drugs are cheap, well understood, been in use for years and work.

Even Long COVID has been cured in many patients.

Where are the banner headlines for all this good news in the UK?

Ask yourself this "if you catch COVID would you want to be able to try the drugs under medical advise before you are ill enough to be hospitalised, would you take them?
Would you like to at least to have that option?

Then ask why you are not being given the same options as 3rd world countries offer their patients?

It was in Italy in sept 2019, well before it was in China, but it doesn't fit the politics

Nooo, it stated in China just long before they told anyone. And they only told anyone when they realised it had ecaped China and made it to Europe by which time it was waaaay too late.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

If that's true then there should be some way to verify it was in China before sept 2019, or it's just your opinion

What I don’t understand about the theories of it being anywhere in September 2019 is that if it was, then without any social distancing measures or hand washing etc, why weren’t hospitals inundated in October/November and why weren’t people dying in huge numbers then?

There has been some published intelligence about the increased use of hospitals during summer 2019 and apparently there was a massive increase in web searches for covid symptoms too.

I will just leave this here for posters to make up their own minds about it.

The CDC NIH department no longer rejects recommendation of Ivermectin, which as we have all been told by the Prof & scotia doesn't work and should be ignored in favour of much more expensive alternatives.
Nothing to do with Biden getting in as President of course.

Woo hoo.

It now has the same status as convalescent blood plasma.

Oh dear.

In all fairness, the Prof did say that it was still being looked at as a potential prophylactic.

So no its absolutely nothing to do with Biden.

When the W.H.O team finishes investigating maybe we'll know. It is still dodgy to me that the Chinese prevented their access for so long. A suspicious person might suspect them of trying to hide or destroy evidence!

There's an article in the Times today stating that Ivermectin is about to undergo a full scale clinical trial as a covid treatment. It states it has potential but its actual impact has been clouded by shoddy previous studies and random use. I genuinely hope it works.

It also states that there are two antiviral treatments being trialled that have been developed to specifically treat covid. In addition to interferon beta.

Here's hoping we get something out of this.

The Chinese Govt has done its level best since the start of this thing to downplay both the severity of this virus and its own role in the spread of it. In a just World the Middle Kingdom would be about to enter several decades as an International pariah, but we know that won't happen.

As big a f*cking idiot as he was, Trump was spot on in calling it the "China Virus".

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

No mention of Betadine, Colchicine or Niacin?
To be honest. I don't see how they can find Ivermectin works after all this time of ignoring it.
It would leave them open to massive criticism.

I wonder how long it will take and if it will be designed on current treatment regimes?
I mentioned Colchicine because the Canadians have just completed a fairly successful study on it, added to the previous smaller one.

Scotia, I had no idea that the Times "Principle Study" is to be carried out by Oxford University, the same group that ran the Recovery study where they completely screwed up the HCQ study by dangerously overdosing the patients.

I will will be very interested in the their study design for Ivermectin which has many small studies already carried out, if they mess this up there will be hell to pay.
They have already got the patient infection period too long according to concerned experts.
You need to read this.
