Doesn’t seem right considering they’ve just paid over £1.5m in transfers

I think that you may be correct.

Think it was brought in to try and stop Barca and Real Madrid taking the absolute piss out of their local authorities. Seem to recall some scam over the sale of a training ground for about ten times what it was worth.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

That's gotta hurt :

"Postby Forever Blue » Mon Jan 25, 2021 7:55 pm

The group of fans were told that Cardiff fans did not appreciate that the Committee had gone out and brought in young managers like Paul Trollope and Neil Harris, so we have tried that way.

The Committee tried for a young/modern big name and he turned us down saying "I want bigger things and a bigger club to manage."
"I am also more ambitious than Cardiff they were told, I can better myself."

So the fans were told we have now turned to the old style Mick McCarthy."

They are funny on there one mentioned that if only they had waited a week they could of got Lampard.

3 court cases could lose close on 50 million.

Tan has already incurred huge losses the club called a meeting today they are heading for a big fall I think shame eh.

Poll: Would you like Cooper to stay or go (regardless of compensation situation)

When you also consider Tan is no longer a Billionaire as reported in Forbes, his fortune dropped by about 500 Million (yikes).

If there is one thing that upsets very rich people it is huge losses of money.

The court cases the loss of revenue due to the pandemic.

It's not as if they have players worth huge amounts to sell on we had Mcburnie James Rodon.
Who have they got.

Losing 3 million a month according to their chairman they are in a serious mess.

If Tan pulls the plug administration and relegation will follow

Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch.

And all this is precisely why the last thing anyone should want is to be dependent on external funding for our continued existence.

Totally agree we need to be self sufficient

That is why our cost cutting after relegation was necessary yes our owners have not invested.

But we do have a sustainable club and if that means selling a player or 2 a season so be it if that's what it takes.

Apparently Tan turned down a good offer to sell the club too.

There was no indication on to who or what good is.

<< Apparently Vincent Tan / CCFC are involved in 3 serious Court Cases, could cost Cardiff City £50million and the words the cases have turned nasty was used and City could lose all 3 cases.

Emiliano Sala case could end up costing CCFC up to £25mill

Michael Isaacs suing for £10mill for his 2% stake in CCFC.

Langston suing for up to £15mill for an agreement Tan signed with them and has not been resolved.

Chairman Dalman and another CCFC representative had to go to France just before Xmas to make a statement to the Police over Emiliano Sala.>>

So in a nutshell they could lose 50 million on the court cases 35 million over 12 months in losses.

No saleable assets as such and a dour Yorkshire man who I struggle to listen to commentating for 90 minutes as a manager.

They are really knackered

They took on Harry Wilsons wages on when there was no prospect of incomings back to normal.

No sympathy and its ridiculous they are going for this considering they're still spending!!

Not forgetting the Watters transfer.

They have asked for a loan. Peolle ask for loans all the time for one reason or another. They have to pay it back or face penalties no doubt.

The loan fund is for clubs who really need it.

Shouldn't be for ones who keep spending while also pleading poverty.

According to Forbes, Tan's net worth has dropped from $1.2bn since the start of the pandemic to $750m now. Thats enough of a dent in anyone's business operations to make the ongoing subsidy of one of the lesser parts of his empire an unattractive proposition, never mind throwing away another $150m or so writing off even more debt.

Chuck in £15m for Sala and more reduced parachute payments due and they're on decidedly thin ice. Wouldn't be surprised if there's truth to the belief that they've plumped for McCarthy instead of pressing the reset button because they simply don't have the time to do that.

He must be about the only billionaire to lose money during the pandemic as the rest of them have been raking it in.

That's what Tan was trying to prove in court but Hamman denies it...but everyone (less the judge) believes that that is the case.
