"The guide begins with a fatwa against age, saying that it should not be brought up unless strictly relevant, and even then only objective terms can be used. So the words ‘elderly’, ‘OAPs’, ‘pensioners’, ‘youngsters’, and ‘mature workforce’ are now banned, to be replaced by ‘over-65s, 75s and so on’.
When it comes to illness and disability, for some reason using the word ‘diabetic’ is no longer allowed and staff are instead encouraged to use language that focuses on people’s ‘abilities, rather than limitations’. In the eyes of Manchester University, someone is no longer ‘suffering from cancer’ but are a person ‘living with cancer’. Similarly, the university no longer says that someone is a ‘victim of dementia’ — presumably because dementia is something to be appreciated in the eyes of the inclusivity team."

This is a few years old, but ...
"Today We Mourn the Passing of a Beloved Old Friend"
COMMON SENSE, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons such as.
- Knowing when to come in out of the rain; - Why the early bird gets the worm; - Life isn't always fair; - And maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children are in charge).
His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place.
Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.
It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student, but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant.
Common Sense lost the will to live when criminals received better treatment than their victims.
Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realise that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.
Common Sense was preceded in death,
-by his parents - Truth and Trust. -by his wife - Discretion. -by his daughter - Responsibility. -and by his son - Reason.
He is survived by his 5 stepbrothers,
- I Know My Rights. - I Want It Now. - Someone Else Is To Blame. - I'm A Victim. - Pay me for Doing Nothing.
Not many attended his funeral because so few realised he was gone.
If you still remember him, pass this on.
If not, join the majority and do nothing ...!!
"Such a sad loss for everyone, but especially the next few generations who will be so affected by his loss. There are some living today that didn't even know him and now will never get that chance"...!!

It has got to the stage that you've got to take either high-grade Skunk or mind-expanding hallucinogenic’s just to keep up with these WOKE t0ssers!
She starts at 3:02s….Here is a (identifies as 3:47s) rather angry ‘black woman’ going all woke. It's like something out of CH4 Brasseye sketch!
I fear for the future wing, really I do.All the fun of life is being slowly strangled.
There is possible offence in everyone and everything that is tangible or intangible.
This year has seen the Police disbanded, male and female terms of referenced ripped up,and now an illegal demonstration allowed to go ahead with the absolutely foreseeable results.
The Prime Minister ha backed the Police and right so,now he must sack Patel for her comments about the very people who maintain what we have a a society .
We have also seen the Fire Brigade actually come out against the Police, which is good ,a it shows what they are like-politically speaking. They do a great job but my God ,so do paramedics and police and all 3,IMO should have the right to strike.

If the police went on strike would anybody notice?
The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

They are about protecting the big corps not the people. They stopped doing that in 84 when they decided to become Thatchers bouncers.

Somebody made reference to my wife when she was walking the dog a good few years ago about me, referring to me as her partner she said he's not my partner he is my husband, less offence would have been caused by saying husband to her as that is/was the norm, to say partner implies she was living in sin (to a person of a certain age). Perhaps husband/wife would be more appropriate in rural Wales and partner in a town/city ?
Just popped over t other site and see you referencing my old username. To make myself clear,I would agree with YOU if I though your comments were such that I agreed with ;I do not simply see a username and agree/disagree as it depends on their text.
I see one poster, not you, clearly enjoying all this as it demonise men.ALL men.
As for curfew, much crime ,violent crime is committed BEFORE 6pm.
As most crime is committed by men as are wars, the question should logically be what to do with men.Full stop.
What about it Lisa.
Most crimes committed by men. What to do with them. ?

You are accusing me of enjoying the murder of a young woman?
And demonising all men?
You quite clearly can’t read.
And still have worked out that the statement in the Lords was a sarcastic response to the police telling women to stay inside.
