So do I and quite why Hamer is not given a chance I don't know

Because he has a history of blunders is my first thought, he's only here if Woodman gets injured, I'm thinking you have to deal with it 😂

OK I've changed it.

As many have said, Hamer is emergency backup because of his history.
But we do have Alan Tate who is a free agent.

Why Hamer then Bad. Would it not have been better to employ a real alternative with Woody going back to Newcastle in a few months.-Unless that is...

Woodman has been excellent for the Swans, he needs to improve his distribution and command the box a bit better but all in all he has been great, his shot stopping is top notch, I don't know what people expect, he is one of the best keepers in the Championship, possibly the best in this league this season.

best keeper in league is Brentford keeper, woodman is very suspect, apart from poor distribution, afraid of crosses, times he could just come off his line to narrow angles I think against Blackburn last week even if he stepped a foot forward towards dack he would saved it..sterling goal he stayed on his line instead just moving couple yards towards him but by staying he gave him all the goal to place it.think we could do better than him..

Brentford fans don’t seem to think so, they are constantly criticising him. He has made some absolute howlers this season.

Woodman is young and barely a couple of seasons under his belt, I’m sure he will go on to be a very good keeper.

But he is still in the stage where he is very raw and a little under developed. Thankfully we have an excellent defensive unit.

I agree with that our defensive displays has put a lot less scrutiny on him

In which case I have to wonder why he was brought in?

We have been lumbered with poor keepers since the glorious Fab left.

I've looked at one of the Brentford message boards over the last few weeks and lots of their fans criticise their goalie.

Because he's a better backup than Josh Gould and Lewis Webb. It's really not difficult

Which begs the question as to why Steve has not targetted this crucial area.

Cover in positions ? Remember that?

You are suggesting we have no cover at all, which is a terrible insult to Hamer. Bear in mind ,he is employed by our club and really not doing much to earn his crust.

I think he said he was bought in to cover for a Woodman if he got injured. That’s why he’s here, I tend to agree.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Cover.
So what bring a keeper who is not of a standard to at least challenge a keeper who is so obviously out of form. That is cover .

Woody right now is shot to pieces and we need cover.

God help us if he's worse than woodman at crosses and distribution and coming off his line....

When will our Woody qualify for Wales under the welsh residency eligibility criteria ?

Hamer hasn’t had a lot of game time in recent seasons (not unusual for goalkeepers) but his career rating is 6.42 compared with Woodman's 6.53 so not a lot in it.
But pass success is too big an issue. We all realise stats don’t tell us distances etc but when one player has a success rate of 59% and the 76% the difference is too big to ignore.
