| Until the Yanks leave town on 09:51 - Apr 6 with 678 views | onehunglow | It's sad to see us squabbling over the owners . We really should be united and we aint. We'd rather insult each other thinking some know best.Well you don't.None of us know jackshite . We will continue to sink with the current owners and tumble under Cooper. Meanwhile,we wave our collective kocks at each other. Pitiful and easy to see why it was deemed essential to have a Trust. We backstab Sicilian style. | |

Being f@@@ed is freezing you balls off in Bradford Park Avenue, Aldershot or Chester hoping to avoid defeat in the4th division or seeking re-election. This pain we are feeling isn't about our position it’s about loss of opportunity, loss of entertainment and possible repeat of the Monk era.

100%. It is also about protecting our former good name-and we had one.Talk to Liverpool fans about us fronting up at Anfield and deservedly winning. This is 5 years ago, that's all. We are run like a 7-7 store by the Owners. They might be doing a good job in that regard but we were promised the next level and that is more Waitrose than Nisa.

Well there you have it....HJ et al really cared about the club as they ensured that new owners would be able to bung in loads of cash Im not enamoured with the yanks but they are trying to run the club within its means....this of course is dissapointing to fans who want to see us spalsh out on players etc..... Its not going to happen with this lot, whilst they have the backing to under normal operations to ensure the required cashflow what they did not or do have is the monies to splash the cash so many on here desire. Then you have to wonder who will be next.....we could end up with another Tony Petty....something the purchase by the sellouts was supposed to avoid in the future!!!!!

Your second paragraph is precisely the point I keep trying to make. Twice we've nearly gone to the wall through overspending. If there's any set of fans in the country who should be wary of a club paying out more than it can sustain it's us, yet all we get is whining about how little we spend on transfers. How many times does it have to happen before that sinks in with some people? Three? Four? If we're run like a corner shop it's because that's all we can afford to do. If that means we have to be cleverer than other clubs as we work to regain our former status then so be it. We've done it before. We can do it again. Anyone calling for greater spending without a second thought as to how that spending will be paid for, never mind what potential breaches of FFP we'd make in the process, is a fool. It is clear that these people do not care about the long term future of Swansea City. All they're interested in is short term gratification. No better than the people who run up tens of thousands in credit card debt buying holidays and big TV's then going cap in hand to the bankruptcy courts.

Second paragraph indeed. It shows why having owners who have no pot to pass in should not infer they have . Doc knows best though

There is one glaring error in your defence of them. Yes they are guarding our future as you say. But they are too cautious when a small gamble is needed. The club will never have a better chance of getting back up to the Prem than we did during the last Transfer Period. The club was desperate for a good mid field player and a genuine Goal scoring Striker. It is known as "Investment in the future", someone who can score 15 to 20 goals a season could have made all the difference. Instead we got a couple of Yankee cast offs, neither of whom are still here. So yes they have guaranteed the future of the club, unfortunately it is a future in the Championship if we are lucky.

You'd be surprised what I would know but you wouldn't know that not in this lifetime of any other. You've played this record since the time of the 78s our mum's had of Frankie Vaughan and it doesn't wash anymore. None of us is as smart as we like to think we are

So what if (highly likely given the current incumbent in the dugout) that gamble doesn't pay off? Another small gamble? Then another? It's actually known as "chasing your losses", and it's the fast track to trouble.

| Until the Yanks leave town on 17:28 - Apr 6 with 489 views | Joe_bradshaw | I think we had the midfield player but he got injured and then Wolves recalled him. A recall that hasn’t done Wolves any good and certainly hasn’t done MGW’s career any good. The striker was a glaring omission from day one. I felt at the time that we’d bought Lowe to use as a striker because we don’t play wingers. That was unfair on him despite his mid season purple patch. We would have been better off spending the Lowe money on a centre forward. It wouldn’t have got us much in terms of a player with a track record but a clever buy might have reaped more benefit, particularly if MGW had stayed fit and stayed here. Together with the Morris and Cullen injuries and Vic’s incompetence we haven’t had much luck this season with forwards. | |

Not too mention the Soton lad who was injured the day before he was due to come to us on loan.
| Until the Yanks leave town on 17:43 - Apr 6 with 475 views | Thornburyswan | Not an owner thing for me, they clearly had issues at the start of their ownership & for me didn’t understand UK football well enough but since they brought Birch in things have settled off the pitch & whilst losing him was a blow we appear to be in an ok place - clearly if you either expected or wanted a significant personal investment along the Chavs, Citeh, PSG style you would be a tad pi**ed. As a humble club we need to live within our means so with 10K season ticket sales & modest commercial income that will mean selling before buying - clearly a bounce back to the Prem would assist that but only if we spent sensibly & squirrelled some away for the inevitable relegation to follow. | | | |

Obafemi is the same "wide striker" type as Lowe and Whittaker.

Well said. I think we all know now that the yanks haven't got a pot to pee in. Never did. Chancers. If they had said from day one that they had no money, fair enough. But to state they are taking us to the next level is the biggest load of b@llocks I have ever heard. Next level my ass.

I never heard them say anything about the next level. Perhaps you an find out when they said that. What HJ did say and perhaps themeselves is that they had access to funds the old board could not get. This may be what i meant by a improvement. Have they accessed extra funds in the pandemic? . The answer to that is yes. They have with the Convertible loan note in partnership with a new investor Jake Silverstein . A reported £10m cash injection. If the club cannot pay it back it will be converted into shares. £10m if that is the case is a very big pot to pee in by historical Swansea standards.

| Until the Yanks leave town on 19:44 - Apr 6 with 409 views | jasper_T | Based on investment into DC United I don't think it's accurate to say they don't have money, they just don't want to spend it on us. Hard to blame them, Championship football is a money pit. Clubs are making annual loses in the tens of millions, and yet Barnsley are making a strong playoff charge on a fraction of the average budget. | | | |

Exactly, baffles me how Cooper is still going on about this “9”. How many players did he want in January?

I personally couldn't understand the talk of Obafemi in January either. But since i think it's only been Scott who's spoken about Obafemi? I may be wrong but I'd say Obafemi wasn't a Cooper choice.
