The day they can produce lab grown meat that tastes and costs the same as the normal stuff I'll be quite happy to swap. Factory farming is horrible. A necessary evil perhaps, but certainly something for people to focus on getting shot of.

The stats say the population growth is going into reverse in many countries. The exceptions are less developed places. So in rural areas it's still rising but in cities it's falling.
We need to stop expanding into animal habitats, we need to preserve eco systems. We have seen what even a small disruption to the gulf stream can do.
We need to stop pumping out waste, specially plastics. How many times will we be warned it's too late before it actually gets to be too late? | |

Really- I think you need to read a bit more and not on the internet. Industrialisation drives huge population growth and rarely improves health or education . The U.K. population tripled between 1750-1850, but you would be hard pushed to say health or education were improved. This only began to change with philanthropy and social change.

In Africa only 20% of countries have a compulsory death recording system, in Asia only 50% of countries have a compulsory death recording system even in Europe two countries do not have a compulsory death recording system. Who knows what system is in place on central and Southern America.
In a lot of countries their custom is too bury their dead the same or next day.
I doubt there are very accurate death figures in a lot of countries.
Even in the UK deaths from coronavirus virus are over estimated by 25% according to recent research by the ONS.

Spot on. I would expect the UK to have amongst the most accurate recording. The 28 days is arbitrary of course, and only in time will we see effects on life expectancy (which may turn out to be the greater problem). I'm not sure we'll ever know the true numbers of covid deaths. This 28 day rule comes with issues around accuracy and then deaths at home aren't accurate re covid either.
It's not so much an issue of lies but more about hiding the full truth. All governments do that.
