I’ve been in England and Wales today. Two villages joined by a centuries old bridge.
Had a swim,spoke to people from both sides of bridge.

BBC radio said that the Westfield shopping centre (isn't that a big place in London ?) was about 50% mask wearers. |
Westfield is a company.
It has two large shopping centres in London.
Someone I know was in the one near my house earlier today and said everyone had them on. Although to be fair that was in John Lewis so may not be representative of the shops the younger audience frequent. | | | |

Sport - rivalry. I make no apologies for seeing the English as the enemy there.
This kind of thing, I see as unnecessary, petty jingoism. I understand that we now have more stringent COVID rules than England. I obviously agree that any English visitors need to abide by them.
What irks me is people scouring social media for examples of English people flouting our rules. The vast majority won’t and it’s not as if every Welsh person follows them 100%.
What annoys me most, is the pettiness reflects badly on Wales. | | | |

Westfield is a company.
It has two large shopping centres in London.
Someone I know was in the one near my house earlier today and said everyone had them on. Although to be fair that was in John Lewis so may not be representative of the shops the younger audience frequent. |
What radio 5 said about 50% masks in a large London shopping centre, is that good or bad ? I would be horrified if it was only 50% in Wales at this point in time, but I'm not sure if they think that is good or bad in England, what do you personally think Lisa if it is 50% take up ? I think it’s a made up figure so it’s impossible to judge. Also don’t know which Westfield it was. Westfield Stratford has a huge amount outside. So people could quite easily be wandering around there without a mask and put them on to go inside.
Unless someone was standing there all day they don’t know. And everyone is trying to scaremonger and create stories for the sake of it at the moment.
I was surprised at how high it was today. It was indistinguishable from last week when it was law. And that was my direct experience. The only person I know who’s been in a shopping centre said everyone had them on. Although we still have guidance and strong recommendation to wear in shops even if it’s not the law. | | | |

Yes if I heard correctly the Beeb actually said 50% take up last week, 50% this week in the context of talking about that place (is the way I took it) I was surprised I thought it would have been 90% last week and 50% this week, I would not be happy in this current climate if it was only 50% take up of wearing masks in Wales at this point in time. | |

My mates auntie’s cousins dog walkers wife went to a chippy in Aberystwyth today. 4 people in there and only one was wearing a mask.
