People being underwhelmed by names mentioned as manager! 10:57 - Jul 22 with 2932 viewsmagicdaps10

Unbelievable really, one thing as a Swansea fan that we should all have learned is not to judge and give it a chance.
We signed Renato Sanches and he was the best thing ever, we bring in Brendan Rodgers a dud at Reading and the rest is history. Think we have to take stock that the man and the club have to fit, if both pieces are not fitting then we could bring a top name here and it could all end Pete Tong.

It may not be Eustace but if it were, he is highly regarded by the QPR fans, wants to play football and will undoubtably be eager to make it work. If he wants to play football and be proactive then it's a thumbs up from straight away 👍

Give love a chance or in this instance whoever the new guy is.

This is the reality.

I hadn’t heard of Cooper before he came here. If it’s Eustace, or anyone of that ilk, it will be a comparatively cheap deal on the basis that if he does well here, it’s a brilliant shop window. Very nearly just happened for Cooper.

We all knew Martinez, but not many outside of here or Wigan would have. Rodgers, likewise, I’d heard of him but couldn’t have told you what he looked like. Sousa was admittedly an exception. First I’d heard of Potter was when they beat Arsenal.

The likes of Howe, Lampard etc are always going to come up on bookies lists, but they aren’t very likely at all.

Bang on cue. As presciently predicted. The Cooperoutists, backpedalling in force.

A monumental, catastrophic cock-up by the hapless, frosty Winter.

‘Cooperoutist’? - moi? I’ve never expressed an opinion either way. I hated the football we played last season but I didn’t attribute the blame for that all on the manager. I think he did the best with what he had, which was not a lot. So I’d love us to have anew manager who has the team playing controlled passing football. But I’m a realist and I see significant absences in this new season’s team, making a new manager’s task even harder than last season. That’s why I put so much emphasis on the contacts book and the loan market. I hope to be pleasantly surprised.

Good word "Cooperoutists" Bravo. My favourite word creation was the "delaudrupification process" that occurred after the sacking of the great man in 2014 where all his signing were replaced.

This was perceived as the work of Garry Monk, who then confounded the critics by resigning Pablo Hernandez for Leeds which must rank as one of their greatest signings of this centenary.

Wise sage since Toshack era

You do know managers leave clubs right? You'll get over it ......

I'm not sure he will. His fanboy antics seem destined to haunt us for a while yet. maybe, unless our next manager takes us up, he will be saying I told you so ad infinitum?

I think he needs to clean his nose and face reality. Oh, and Resloven needs to get a sense of humour. Maybe the pair of them need a trip to the Emerald city to see if the "Wiz" can help them. Otherwise we're in for a long, tedious ride.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?
