| Johnson - our know nothing, learn nothing PM …. on 19:00 - Oct 12 by majorraglan | There are issues across all 4 NHS and governments, but whichever way you spin it primary responsibility for pandemic planning and thus type of event sits with the national government at Westminster. Exercise Cygnus organised by NHS England and PHE on behalf of the Dept of Health and Social Care identified significant issues with the U.K.’s pandemic planning several years before the pandemic which is a central government function. There were also reports of Boris not even bothering going to COBRA meetings. [Post edited 12 Oct 2021 19:22]

Much as I hate to agree with Kilky, he's right you know! Bojo has been a disaster. Cummings has tried to hang Bojo out to dry but he was chief advisor and probably talked Bojo into several of these awful decisions. Cummings and Bojo deserve a cell together. It doesn't absolve the Senedd from their bad decisions and stupid mistakes though. Drakeford has enough powers to be able to make decisions but he followed Westminster on most stuff. I believe he was happy to let Bojo make choices so he could then point the finger and try to dodge blame himself. At best Drakeford is a follower, not a leader, at worst he is a prevaricator, a person who avoids making decisions in case he gets it wrong. When he does make decisions it often seems like he's just trying to be different to Bojo and is often wrong. Just look at the covid passes, he finally made the decision and its just wrong. Whether it's Westminster or the devolved governments, our politicians are a disgrace. Look at Northern Ireland, we have Westminster, the Irish and the EU playing political games, not doing what is right for the people. It's about power and control but when they have that power and control they balls things up in epic proportions.

As my gran would have said, two wrongs don't make a right. Drakeford can be different if he's right but when he's wrong it's just another bad thing added to a long of UK political cock ups.

I agree. Hugely disappointed with Keir. Keir is waiting for the chaos of Brexit to unfold, and then he is going to make Johnson own it. And then he will chart the way back to the EU in some shape or form. I think that too clever by half. Keir also wants to stop Johnson hiding his fat butt behind the union jack. Keir should be getting into the Tories now, and at every single opportunity. The right time was months ago, but the next best right time is now. Nye was right.

Lol If you'd said he'd told the truth, ever, it would be far more shocking. Thing is though, people don't give a toss. They are the biggest bunch of venal, greedy, disgusting criminals, led by a lying walking trivial arsehead, and the 'great british public' think it's all great because they also pretend to be rampant racists because they know it plays well to the retired colonels and lowest common denominator that can vote them in under FPTP. Meanwhile they rig everything further to load the dice to sustain them in a one party country. I do wonder sometimes if Corbyn and Starmer were actually Johnno's business partners.

They don't really care what happens to the country. They only care about being re-elected so they can stay on the gravy train. MP's have a pretty good deal and they make contacts during their time that leads to even better deals later. They claim everything they can on expenses, get their second homes paid off and make massive profits then you have cockwombles like that Tory MS who cannot even make a phone call to make their vote, utter BS that was. Never mind class issues, it's all about the money. Bojo doesn't care what your accent is but he'll love you if you're rich. Political parties don't spend as much time trying to woo the electorate as they do rich donors.

What a pair of preening ,arrogant vicious barstweards who put their own glory first . Don't me me laugh Monny.Johnson is a d1ck but no worse than many of both parties.Remember devaluation with Honest Harold telling us the pound in your pocket wont be affected. Problem with johnson to people in Wales is that he exascerbate the posh boy hatred. We 've never got over the posh talking public school boys and whatever they do will be seen as wrong by many in Wales. Nye was not right on everything and liked the niceities of life like anyone else. Politics is a filthy business and all we ask for is leadership and ability. Johnson fails in both,as have many.

I compiled as did my family and it’s a good job too, because unbeknown to us we had Covid in the house and our intended guests who are elderly wouldn’t have survived Covid. Boris is the PM and is responsible for introducing the legislation; he should be adhering to his own rules and setting a good example and he should be held to account if he’s breached them. You can’t have 2 standards, one for the politicians and another for the masses - that’s a recipe for disaster.
