Hamer has done a good job but isn't getting younger, Benda has potential but has found the system a little difficult and often been erratic. Good be a good signing taking everything into account.

They took their share of hammerings under Martin last season. Worth remembering that they were a midtable outfit with a bottom half defensive record. If they had Championship-level players propping them up then the manager can't have been very good.

Rhys Williams is 6 ft 5 in and has held down a position for Liverpool to play 15 games or so. he must be good enough for Swansea. Guehi had a rough patch too but came storming back.

The rumours are true, it’s a fact. However, is Fisher really up to playing at Championship level for the swans ? Let’s take a look. 0

Probably the players commitment to training and listening, not unlike Oba.

Well not good enough for Russy. Maybe he passes the ball to his team mate a opposed to the opposition.

I'd love to give a full game to Benda in the cup or an 'easier' championship game just to see his development after months of training in a Martin system. He showed glimpses in the matches he played but were overshadowed by his early errors.

He had nothing but praise for Brandon Cooper's attitude, and he's similarly out in the cold. We've got three good young centre halves sitting around while his preferred trio play 3x90 in a week, and inevitably struggle to maintain levels.

He's certainly been better than both of them on the pitch this season. Paul Bodin had a sly moan in the press on his behalf the other day. Needs to be playing regular football.

Yep. Indeed. Two weak small defenders in manning and Naughton chosen to play in a back three. Cabango is a sizeable unit and can defend ok,as can Cooper. Both a better option defending corners than naughts and manning .Surely. I can see us losing Cab and Cooper .

Players of their age, experience and quality don't want to be sat around or playing u23s games. Especially when they see players their age or younger continually brought in ahead of them.

You can't just bring on Cabango and Cooper for corners though, can you. There's no special teams in football. And what problem are you trying to solve? Are we leaking goals from corners? One against Coventry - are there others? The problem Cabango has is that he's not very composed with the ball at his feet. And if we want to play possession based football - and surely we do, that's what we've complaining about for years since Monk introduced "being comfortable without the ball" - then Cabango is going to struggle to get game time. Let's be honest, he's now struggling to get in the Wales squad as well. Anyway, you may as well get used to it. Naughton is our best option at CB, Cabango's not going to play very often, Bennett and Manning are going to play either side of Naughts - although we could do with someone with more pace than Bennett. Lati's not good enough.

That s as maybe but it does little to help. Really, honestly, just who is happy with Naughton as a central defender especially when faced with bigger forwards. He has been thrashed by everyone CF of any size . And yet,we see excuses bandied about to justify him..

I'm very happy with Naughton at CB. In a possession based style of play, which involves building from the back, he's perfect.

BUt why does the ball have to go to the central player if the 3 why not play a taller player in the middle but put Naugton on the right, Naughton can still be the go to player for ditribution just like ROberto chose Leon to collect the ball from the centrbacks rather than them hoof it up field when he started his revolution.

Because the central player has most options. High pressing teams love nothing more than to trap a right back or left back in a corner. They can use the touchline as an extra defender.
