Can't disagree with that. I wouldn't be spending a decent fee on a keeper currently, I think we have other priorities.

Hamer is ok not brilliant as is Benda My point is the way we play . We won’t with our resources going players who can fulfill Martin s style to play.

O'Rourke normally a sound source though to be fair, obviously the fees are well out though and will be countered by loaning MK Dons players I'm assuming. Possibly even Benda himself?

As we reported it is. But there are other player permutations.

| MK Dons Raid on 12:58 - Dec 7 with 1867 views | LittleEnglandJack | Absolutely no idea if these two are any good, but my first thought was to wonder whether there's any link between Andy Scott going out the door and us quite clearly targeting players that Russ has worked with before? | | | |

Thought exactly the same. We are putting serious amounts of trust into Russell Martin, I don't mind that, but it's a completely different and more expensive model than the one we were going to use if John Eustace hadn't had turned us down last minute. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

A very good point. I doubt Eustace would have asked for the sea change Martin has.

Martin would’ve had to be a hell of a smooth talker to draw £2m overall out of our owners for this window let alone £4m for two players alone!
| MK Dons Raid on 16:48 - Dec 8 with 1683 views | MoscowJack | I can't believe that some of you are real on here. I keep expecting to see names that Scum fans have made up but then I see names that I recognise. Russell Martin's start hasn't been perfect and I definitely agree that he's made and is still making mistakes.....but (I'm sure you knew there was one coming) I am still impressed with the progress that we're making. We lost many some huge players (Ayew, Guehi) and a few not so important in the summer and brought a few players in - most were upgrades, in my opinion. I am disappointed not to see the likes of Fulton playing, but if he's off in January, I understand not risking him getting injured and concentrating on players who will be here. Also, we don't see the players train - we don't know what their attitudes have been like. Have they all bought into the new system or are they able to play it?? Finally, we haven't seen these MK Dons players but Martin has. He's played a lot at this level and he's managed enough games to understand whether they'll improve their team. We need more firepower, need a more mobile defender or two and we could do with a more dominant keeper. Cabango is potentially ok, but he's hit and miss for me. One stray pass and his confidence for the rest of the match has gone. Beaten once and his confidence is gone. He'll improve over time, I hope, but I can't see Bennett lasting long. I would have taken mid-table at the start of the season and still think we'll be a bit above that (especially with decent recruits in Jan) so what are so many on Martin's back. He's a decent manager, we're getting our identity back after shockingly ugly football and that doesn't happen overnight. Onwards and upwards........ | |

Depends who he removes from the wage bill. Fulton Bidwell Walsh ( for me he may go ) Whittaker Cullen Dhanda B. Cooper D. Williams R. Williams Returned If the club loan or sell these there’s movement financially. Plus, if the signs are right more investment in whatever form.

| MK Dons Raid on 18:09 - Dec 8 with 1641 views | 34dfgdf54 | Benda showed yesterday why we can’t play him, no skill set at all with the ball at his feet. Two goals for Brentford B from interceptions. | | | |

| MK Dons Raid on 23:52 - Dec 6 by AndyCole | . Yep. Initially in academy trials (where he repeatedly failed), youth football in the Cambs league, then when he had just cut his teeth as a pro at Cambridge when Jez George finally gave him a go, and then at MK dons. Back in yer box. It's such the pity that trolls like splatter only emerge when they think they can bite, to yet again fail and slunk away sadly. Grow up, and get yourself your own thought leadership, or even an original opinion. Thought leadership doesn't grow on trees. There's a thread there, for the omnipresent plagiarists here........ . . |

| MK Dons Raid on 20:24 - Jun 18 with 1176 views | Lorax | I've just seen Moscowjack's post for the first time and I have to say, whatever happens in training, it's what happens on the matchday that matters the most. Doing great in training is one thing but if you can't deliver during an actual match then it has to change. We have raided MK again and hopefully our defence is now sorted, Martin can start the season (for me personally) with some credit in the bank, but not as much as when he first arrived. He has less time now though, he has until Christmas to show real improvement. | | | |

It's been very cool here today but your post has warmed my cockles..which remonded once of the stick I got for suggesting this "food" was basically a disgusting cluster of sand infused grit dipped in vinegar . And almost as bad as laverdread which my mum said would make me big and strong. I dumped one plate in the bin (ask bin) once when we lived in Killay and got almightily thrashed then hammered when dad got home . I loved Swansea

| MK Dons Raid on 20:51 - Jun 18 with 1113 views | KeithHaynes | I know this site reported stuff on Dec 4th, which as I was discussing the other day with someone the news articles aren’t always read on most sites. Looks like we got Fisher and Darling for around 1.9 million. As opposed to the speculation two days before this thread. Odd really Risca Jack doesn’t post on here anymore. Maybe someone won’t let him ? Shame, he was a decent poster. Sorry Darling but Swansea City don’t go Fishing at those prices 4th Dec 2021 10:20A report late last night from an undisclosed Swansea source referenced the club interested in signing goalkeeper Andrew Fisher and centre back Harry Darling from MK Dons. Both are highly thought of at MK but figures of four million pounds plus are absolutely ridiculous. 0

As it's still the Summer of Love,I won't ask how much of that fee was for Andy, but you can confirm we really did PAY a fee for him

Around 400k was reported.I’m assuming the 1.5 million projected for Darling is around the correct figure. How it’s paid, when and how is another question.
