What a vile creature. Should never be allowed to play again. That simply has to be career over for him.

I won’t post the pictures of what he *allegedly* did to his ex girlfriend, but there is audio going around too which is incredibly sickening.

Long, long prison sentence awaiting you would hope.

Needs to be facing 25 years.

So is Jimmy Savile by that train of thought.

I think it’s fairly obvious what has gone on here. Horrific.

Good point.
Savile never sent to court.
If he had, he too would have had the best most expensive legal team to defend him and his actions.

He could have walked too if procedures had not been followed correctly .

Barristers would have torn into his victims or witnesses for the prosecution .

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

The victims father came out with an awful statement essentially in support of the player over his own daughter. Saying she was hacked, was very sorry and that the victim and abuser were in love despite a rocky few months. Horrifying what the potential of losing out on money can do to a person.

Sickening. How debased would you have to be to take the side of your own daughter’s rapist.

An idea isn't responsible for those who believe in it.

Few of the players have unfollowed him on socials, De Gea and Telles among them.

I’m assuming that’s pretty telling in this day and age.

I'm sure Greenwood knowing that must be devastating news for him .

It's our justice system.
He will have the best (most expensive lawyers)

The best lawyers are the most ruthless;hence their fees are higher as they win more cases

You cant be a barrister and keep on losing

Most barristers only win 50% of cases.

Do you have any idea about s28 procedures and how questions are carefully controlled and pre checked and authorised by judges and how cross examination of complainants in these situations are also pre recorded ?

They would certainly not be ‘torn into’.

Please just give it a rest

I think it signals more about what his teammates think of him as opposed to how he will feel about it.

They clearly aren’t sticking by him which is probably a reflection of the type of person he is.

Or just their media teams (after brief consultation with sponsors) have decided not to be seen to stick by him.

A statement from Nike on Monday said: ‘We have suspended our relationship with Mason Greenwood."
‘We are deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations and will continue to closely monitor the situation.’

Players like Telles would control their own social media without any shadow of a doubt.

Those that control the likes of De Gea’s, when it comes to something that could be as divisive as that (fans don’t tend to like things like that), would be instructed to by the player. That’s not something someone can do on his behalf.

It’s clear certain players aren’t waiting for all sides to be heard, there is enough out there to suggest they no longer want anything to do with him. Which of course is the right attitude and not suggesting he’s “innocent until proven guilty”.

He can’t be punished until proven guilty is the more appropriate sentence. Which of course nobody is advocating for.
