Swansea City v Blackburn Rovers : Matchday Thread MATCHDAY ! 19:06 - Feb 2 with 11474 viewsNotLoyal

It’s the visit of Blackburn,we have been here before, expect passing and running, then more passing and running, and then the visitors sneak a goal, that’s what happens. We are not to be disappointed.

A clash of styles : Swansea City v Blackburn Rovers. Plus Paterson latest 4th Feb 2022 08:57
The evening kick off at the swansea.com stadium tomorrow brings together two sides who couldn’t be further apart. With certain selection issues still pending for Rovers boss Tony Mowbray it looks like we could see a very interesting game based on the style of play alone. 0

Cabango is not a backward looking player. watch him, with a little space he's looking to pass forwards and did so many times yesterday. He is often in a position where there is no pass on and doesn't force it. He is also one of the few player to make a first touch pass.
He was caught out badly on one occasion but was excellent throughout the game.
Several Cabango passes to Christie didn't reach the target but along with a few from NCham and Grimes the wingback seem disinterested for much of the the half. He had a few good plays and was good in the second half. Both je and NCham looked knackered from the whistle.
I was more concerned with Fisher's passing - he hasn't got to grips with the increased speed Championship forwards close players down.

Cabango is really good player at this level, I would question Russell's system more than our defenders.

I honestly don't think we would have had all 3 points yesterday if we continued playing out from the back with 11 players. Manning's sending off could have been a blessing. Mowbray said their best chances was from our mistakes.

Two noticeable observations from my seat at the South Stand yesterday how much quicker Blackburn played out from the back compared to our pedestrian way. They progressed up the pitch a lot quicker and the second one was how poorly our players are positioned for counter attack when we actually break up play and win possession.

Even when you know, you never know?

Cabango is terrific young player.
He has and is being messed around but ,like a true pro, gets his head down.
He is utterly directed by many clueless cretins who wouodcratgervspoutvtheir undying love for all things Russy.

Fisher has added zero to us and only a liar will say he looks confident which every keeper needs to be.

I feel rather ashamed of our treatment to Benda and Hamer .

I like what Martin is trying to achieve but his treatment of som players is indefensible.

Never said he was, I'm just pointing out instead of trying to play out t via a team mate in close close proximity , he quickly changed to going "longer forward " He played very well after particular that incident and a great asset to the team when played on the right hand side
