Funny isnt it Saturday night and Sunday morning they were all here telling those of us obsessed with negativity how we were wrong....despite many of us posting positive comments after that backs to the wall win giving credit where credit is due yet where were thay last night or even today?

Up pops mr smiley so called fan, you are the one who has been insulting our fans for years. Let your mask slip a bit last night eh?

You need insulting.
Now report back to your HQ.

I articulate what real fans feel, whether they sit on a pouffe or on a plastic stadium seat

Do you not care about the club. Are you happy with how this clown is performing.

Well...are ya.

Adduce something positive and avoid personal attacks as you normally do.

On second thoughts,just float on

Onehunglow made an error.A MISTAKE.

On the other hand ,our performance was laughable.

Putting the filth that is me aside, you cannot be in any way enthused so do not make out you are.

One hung very low last night

Ah come on the smiley wasn't a mistake, we are all aware of your distaste of Martin, you might want him to fail, but there are hell of a lot who want him to succeed.

As I said I'm happy to give him another season, if it backfires on me before then, I'll hold my hands up and say you were right

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

What is the point of this thread? is it to goad those of us who want us to do well ?

Believe it or not there are posters on here who take great pleasure in us performing badly so they can spout their negative crap.

We all want us to do well though. Otherwise we are just trolls and WUMS (though yes, there are a couple) and I called a couple out for being overly negative in the beginning.

These comments now though, they aren't overly negative, they are the reality. 2 wins, 1 draw and 3 defeats with the manager blaming everybody and everything but himself. Today I read he's again blaming not having a pre season and saying too many players are not fit enough and maybe not living their lives the right way to get fit enough. Seriously? If any players aren't fit enough (Wolf aside) what has been going on in training? Obviously we have to discount any who've been ill/had covid.

Ogbeta came here with a "niggle" and promptly strained his hamstring. A bit more than a niggle then.

It's not pleasure in us performing so badly. its exactly the opposite. This isn't fun to watch, it's not fun to lose badly and it is totally exasperating.

Negative crap would be finding negativity where there isn't any. has anyone found anything positive from last nights game?

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

People need to be honest on here or better liars.
I reckon we are all pig sick, whether its lifey, ray,Dr P or STID .What we are doing is turning in on each other and its wrong, very wrong.
We are angry with the wrong people;OK it had to be me to first point out putting unfettered trust into Martin was dumb as he has a trackrecord of zero and hence no justification for us to all way to him,no matter what.

We have signed a kid CH ,an unfit left back to replace the solid Bidwell and a clearly broken Hannes Wolf. Renato Sanches was no worse. Why ,just why?

If it's broke,fix it.

I don’t recall anyone saying anything positive about last nights performance, it was a shocking display.
What we don’t need after a performance like that is so called fans turning on others by referring to them as ‘happy clappers’ in an attempt to state how correct they have been about the management.
I’m convinced there is one or two on here who can’t wait for us to lose so they can splurge out their statistics and their dislike of the manager, we don’t need squiggly red lines and arrows on charts to tell us that we are having a poor season.

It was an awful performance. Worst in years.
Nothing positive to say about it.

Call me deluded but I still think we will improve in the longer term

Problem is,it’s a mess…..
We have Bristol City at home Sunday, can you imagine the pressure on him.
If we perform badly again it will be toxic……….again.
He needs a turnaround in performances and quickly.

“ I called a couple out for being overly negative in the beginning. ”

And you were wrong to do that. Nothing has changed from the beginning to now, the problems you are now latching on to are the same problems that existed back then.

You just saw them far later than others.

You can’t say people are being overtly negative when they see things as they are, then when you finally see those exact same things describe it as justified criticism. It doesn’t work like that.

Those that were abused early on for seeing the very same things we are talking about today are owed an apology by a fair few.

For example you could take some of my posts from the first month of his tenure and they would hold up today in Feb as to issues that now are discussed as commonplace.

I don’t think I’ve felt so peed off after a game than last night. We were beyond belief awful. I can’t think of one positive to take from the game. Then I got to thinking. Yet another season of reducing costs. When does the cost cutting stop? This is a genuine question as to how much it costs to keep our club running?

Nothing to defend.
Awful performance.
Poor tactical decisions from Martin from team selection through to tactics.
Compounded by his " No excuses, but" after match interview
Extremely disappointed and angry.
However I am not going to join the negative ones on her calling for his head.
However I do feel he needs to have a serious look at his team selection and tactics, otherwise his position may become untenable.
He is lucky that we are well above the relegation fight.
On a positive note feel we will bounce back on Sunday and me and all the other happy clappers will be back in force
Until then enjoy your time slagging off Martin and all things Swansea

That interview was the most shocking thing of the season for me.

That level of arrogance and lack of self awareness was frightening. How anyone can say “I don’t want to make excuses” then make ELEVEN of them in the preceding 2 minutes is staggering, and yet another nodding head with a microphone “Thank you Russell”… challenge him, you are a journalist!

Such a toxic environment at the moment where this sub standard culture is allowed to fester. From the performances (part of the process, patience, it’ll come…) to the complete lack of accountability (“Thank you Russell” for all those excuses).

But having said that I’m still not calling for his head, simply because there is nobody that I can think of that would be available that I would want long term (or as long term as things are in football these days).

It’s going to cost a fair bit to give Martin and his team the boot. But if someone is available at the end of the season who is a good fit and results focussed then I would be very tempted if we could financially make it work.

I’m struggling to see a light at the end of the tunnel under this regime. Let’s not forget Martin was still saying “work in progress” at the end of his second season at MK Dons, he does it to avoid accountability.

The second he leaves MK Dons are now 3rd and he says it’s down to him because the team are now ready. Couldn’t make it up.

When people use smilies on posts when Swans are not playing well, it is hard to class them as supporters and in the same terms as those who truly support the club, whether they attend all games, just home games or even just watch or listen via the media.

Yes he needs to turn it around.
Yes he must feel under pressure.
He needs to start learning - and fast
However it has not been toxic.
There has been no calls from the crowd for sacking him or shouts from the NE corner of "Martin sort it out" as happened with Kenny Jacket and others.
He is not there - yet.
A loss or poor performance will result in boos from a sizeable minority, but that will be extent of it.
Not toxic.
Most fans in attendance are patient enough to see we are rebuilding - only time will tell if it is successful

I cant argue with what you say there.
That interview was a pathetic attempt to blame everyone else for his mistakes last night.
Being an optimist I believe we will bounce back and win on Sunday
However,, I am grateful have the points accumulated, otherwise we would be dragged into a struggle at the bottom ( especially with Derby building up a head of steam )

You are wrong. There were negative comments about Martin before he'd had a chance. It's not fair to expect miracles from day one. I gave him a fair crack. There were signs of improvement too but they have disappeared.

The problem with you is, you can't just be happy within yourself that people have seen what you saw and agree with you. You have to be smug and confrontational about it.

It wasn't wrong that many of us wanted Martin to succeed but it was wrong that a few people seemed to want him to fail. I still want him to succeed, I still hope that we get a miracle but the reality looks very far from that.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

The warning signs were there from the off.
A preening chap with no track record making out we were a total shambles on the field and all the players were crepe.
A team that had just missed out in the play offs. This year we are lucky to have 3 teams much closer to the drop. We were told to give him windows to bring in his players. Just look at the reality. It is mind blowing yet still we see this "lets give him a chance " crepe when we really are sinking fast.
He has rubbished players, ignored decent prospects, played good players out of position, alienated good pros like Fulton and brought in kids -kids- who who groom for other clubs. He has lowered the expectations of fans by preaching this long term mantra. He will be gone long before any "plan" would see fruition, like Potter.

Positive.

Positive how?

Nobody has and could never give any evidence or reason to be remotely positive.

About Martin or about the system he was deploying? Its a very important distinction to make.

OHL clearly didn't like him from the start but unless you are specifically talking about him, I don't remember anyone saying anything ''about'' Martin. This was raised when you made similar accusations at the time and you wouldn't back them with specific examples.

Nothing to do with being smug or confrontational, the way you posted suggested that it was not a realisation that those people you had a go at were correct, but they were still being negative and you are now being correctly critical.

I don't think anyone wanted him to fail. It's that kind of comment that draws a confrontational post out. You seem to be suggesting that your criticism comes with good intentions, where as other peoples come with a desire for the club to fail.

I say again, go back to the first 6 weeks of his management and look at the posts made. The discussion points are the same ones now being taken for granted as commonplace, it was not uncalled for, it was not overtly negative and it was not a desire for failure - it was simply accuracy.

The second half of the season yielded almost as much as the first half, 6 points difference.

If we added 6 points to the second half of the season we still would have finished 4th.

There was no capitulation.

You're right.
OHL didnt like him early on,wouldnt say "at the start" though, more like the Preston game where we dumped Piroe for favour of Cullen. Read that again.Piroe dumped and Cullen played in midfield. Alarm bells ring very loud to me and I see beyond the veneer people portray and Martin is all about veneer. He still is. He will take some removing but that said, journos Ive een and heard are gutless. At a bigger club,he would be destroyed, trust me.Few fanbases would put up with what we are currently doing so.

There is NO long term plan, simply a pitiful obsession of playing suicide football starting with the goalkeeper.
