Why rip up papers in a desperate bid to hide them then inexplicably just leave them lying around for people to tape back together?

Protest marches are a legally protected activity.

In fact, it’s constitutionally encouraged.

Protest is protected yes but rioting and breaking and entering aren't.

Come on Dr P, if it was Biden supporters doing this after being encouraged by Biden then you'd be all over it, being a partisan Trump supporter

So, unless you can show me where in their constitution violent protest and breaking and entering are protected, best leave it there.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Hang on, you said Trump encouraged people to march, didn’t you?

My response was that it is perfectly legal to march and is a constitutionally protected activity. Encouraged in a free society.

If I encouraged you to complain about your meal as you were given the wrong order, you did so and then punched the server… that’s on you, not me.

What I told you to do was a perfectly normal thing to do.

Trump apparently habitually rips up paperwork and bins it. its just the case that any paperwork from the POTUS is legally destined for the national archive and it is illegal to destroy it. At best Trump is guilty of ignoring the law, which he was informed about by all accounts. Not a good thing for the leader of any country to do. Bojo is guilty of it over her too and he should be removed from office according to many (and I agree) so I would apply the same thinking to Trump, no POTUS should ignore the law and get away with it.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

It’s more your partisan reaction to any left wing news that sounds remotely like they are pointing a finger at Trump… for literally anything.

Once more for the crowd, show me any post I made where I stand up for or defend Joe Biden. I could show many where you defend Trump, there is only one partisan here and it's you Dr trumpety Trump

There are hardly any politicians I do defend, whatever country you talk about. They are mostly greedy, corrupt, self serving liars. In this country at least, any honest politicians rarely make it off the back benches. The USA, corrupt too,

We have been through this countless times. You don’t have to be pro Biden to be partisan.

Partisan means you are pro “something”, your cause is being pro the “anti Trump” movement. Not sure how many more times that can be explained to you. That’s why you are up in arms about Jan 6th but have no issues or record of complaint about the 12 months of rioting previous.

I defend common sense. Sadly common sense is often missing when people of your persuasion discuss anything Republican or Trump, that’s where I come in.

You used to accuse me of being partisan to Biden, you haven't said any of the other stuff, or I stopped reading the thread because you bored the grit out of me!

I am not "pro anti Trump" either and I did indeed criticise the violence that was apparently encouraged by Kammala Harris.

IF you defend common sense, how can you defend a person breaking the law. A law he was repeatedly told about but seemingly ignored? that's not common sense that is just partisan.

History will probably show Trump was a better POTUS than Biden but that's like saying Pol Pot was better than Hitler.

What persuasion am I exactly then, in your opinion?

No I didn’t. I have accused you of being partisan.

You then always go off on a tangent telling me how you don’t like Biden either before I tell you that I am not suggesting you do and patiently explain that your partisanship is your undying support for the anti-trump campaign.

This is why you ignore things that Biden, Harris and the Democrats do and focus on anything remotely anti Trump no matter how minute it is.

I haven’t defended anyone breaking the law, but haven’t condemned someone when I see no evidence of that happening either. Leftist links and people with axes to grind in a political arena is not proof for condemnation.

You are of the anti Trump persuasion. For example if this thread had been about Biden, you probably wouldn’t be here talking to me now.

This isn't unsubstantiated though, there are government staffers saying they had to tape paperwork back together. This paperwork exists and can be brought forward as evidence.

I also haven't seen Trump dispute this story. Any links to show he has? There is an official record of everything, it is a legal requirement in the USA for all documents to be kept and sent to the national archive and they have the paperwork that has been taped back together,

https://www.msnbc.com/rachel-m

Of course, the same people who swear there's loads of evidence the election was fixed will dispute any evidence that shows Trump broke the law.

Don't any of you wonder why Trump tried so hard to stop these documents being handed over to the select committee?

In other accusations, a new book says he still talks to the North Korean leader.

Jim, I have to disagree with you about Russia, trump is just Pro Trump, he does what he does for himself. Just like Bojo, he wants people to love him and critics deeply annoy him.

Do you remember when it was discovered that Hilary Clinton was keeping her e-mails from the government Cat?

"Hillary Clinton set up a private email server, and a private email network for herself and her family and Huma Abedin. Doing so could prevent her emails from being “accessible” to the federal government, not to mention Congress.

The private network allowed Clinton, Huma Abedin, and aides Cheryl Mills and Jake Sullivan to swap emails with the Clinton Foundation, various world leaders, and Doug Band’s global consulting firm Teneo Holdings, where Abedin also worked during her time at the State Department.
This would have been problematic, considering Clinton’s 2009 ethics agreement, leaked on Cryptome, in which she vowed not to coordinate with the Clinton Foundation.

The FBI investigation began with one simple premise: that Hillary Clinton violated the Espionage Act of 1913 by allowing national defense information to be “lost, stolen, abstracted, or destroyed” through “gross negligence.” Clinton team emails ended up in the hands of Julian Assange and in the hands of detectives in the Anthony Weiner sexting case.

Both Clinton and Abedin face the possibility of additional charges, including perjury and obstruction of justice, for contradicting sworn statements and telling falsehoods to the FBI, not to mention Congress. The photograph of Abedin crying on the Clinton campaign plane after the FBI announced that it was re-opening the case – with Clinton standing by, looking furious lingers in the American political consciousness"

Are you really that stupid? Why do you think it’s called the Daily Heil on Twitter?

As far as the rest what utter hypocrisy to call the killer Rittenhouse a hero and suggest Babbitt was killed unlawfully when she was within the capitol buildings and warned by the officer.

Typical hypocrisy of so-called Christian Right. No doubt followed by the usual QAnon nonsense and whataaboutery.

Kyle Rittenhouse shot peados, wife beaters and arsonists who...taking a break from actual rioting...had physically attacked him endangering his life.

Ashli Babbit was unarmed and shot by Capitol Police Lt. Michael Byrd, 53 (who was situated across the hall behind a door - not under threat) in cold blood.
No warning shots.

There was a BLM, Antifa affiliated film maker in attendance (pretending to be part of the protest) who appeared on CNN immediately afterwards (I watched it live)...he was guilty of all the same offences, as were a number of other people in the group...he wasn't shot though.

I wouldn't describe Rittenhouse as a hero. I don’t think many do to be fair.

I think he is viewed as a kid with excellent ethics and community minded, who defended himself against attackers. Wouldn’t say it’s heroic as such, but he did what I hope everyone in that situation would do.

I know if I was carrying a gun in a state I was perfectly allowed to and I faced the option of shooting someone or taking a severe beating from an armed mob and gambling whether I come out alive or not, I’d shoot.

The alternative suggestion is just madness.

Yes you are right I don't like the MSM reporting unless they provide the source of the information for evaluation or it is an article by an independent.

Well, I haven't noticed them bashing Labour any more than the Tories and Johnson.

I'm not holding Trump to a higher standard though. I've never mentioned 4 of those but I have criticised Harris for encouraging violence and I have criticised Biden too.

For the record, I think both Clinton's belong in jail. I think Biden is clearly medically unfit for office and is the puppet who is being controlled by forces the US would never vote for, I've said that last bit before too.

If you call me left wing you have never noticed my criticism of the Labour party that's had some on here calling me a Tory fanboy, in the past, they don't anymore...well maybe Brynmill Jack does!

Any left wing rioters that broke into government buildings should definitely be punished too.
PS, Babbit was shot for being the first person through the window, the others backed off, then riot police came up the stairs almost straight away and told the others to back off further.

You right wingers are as bad as the left wingers which is why, politically, I despise all of you. None of this is the answer. All both sides do is screw things up. The right get in and change what the left did, then the left get in and undo the rights changes, we go around in circles and it's us ordinary people who suffer. The politicians have their good wages, expense accounts and other "privileges" that mean they are always ok no matter what mess they leave or create.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

It's not a lack of balance, I don't follow US politics as closely as you. Until you brought it up I was pretty much unaware of it and when you asked the question, I answered. For clarity, when I say unaware, I knew of the riots but not of Harris's role.

As I have already pointed out, when it comes to politics I am very balanced, I pretty much despise them all!
There are a few UK politicians I don't mind but I couldn't name many American politicians because, again, I am not as invested in it as you.

If I am anti Trump it's because he does bad things, he breaks the law, he encourages people to do stupid things. It's a funny thing, an opinion. It's built on things that I see on the news. Things that Trump acolytes deny yet there they are. Sometimes even in his own words live on tv. The man is as unfit to hold office as Bojo or Bolsonaro, Corbyn or Maduro. It was just unfortunate that to reject Corbyn we had to accept Bojo!

We are back to marching being a perfectly normal and encouraged activity again.

I think you have hit the nail on the head there though.

That would probably explain a lot, and explains a lot of anti trump views from a lot of people.
