It’s not true, that’s just being silly. People need to take it on the chin that people saw it long before it become the popular opinion. Pretending people are enjoying losing is just ridiculous. Catullus has faced up to it with class, it’s about time others do now and stop trying to attack others.

Indeed. Most of us have been following this club for decades, long before Russell Martin even entered the professional game as a player. Anyone thinks that this bloke has any influence on suddenly wanting the club want to lose is either lying or seriously deluded. It’s simply because people can’t bring themselves to admit others got it spot on. It’s a way to continue to attack them. Needs to be stamped out now, it’s ruining the site and intentionally looking for conflict. Attack them when they criticise the tactics, when they get proven they were right all along… continue to attack them regardless by pretending they enjoy it. There is simply no scenario where these people won’t look to attack. [Post edited 15 Mar 2022 10:11]

I'll keep saying this as too many are lying to themselves, which i fair enough bit don't do it on here. Martin is merely passing through. He is not a Swansea man,nor does he have any emotional ties to OUR CLub. He is a nobody in footballing terms and has produced motjing to sugget he will do anything POSITIVE at all for us. We are drifting downwards and our better players will be wanting out as soon as their agents can fix them up because Martin is killing careers here. I reckon young Joseph is next up.Perma benched with maybe a 5/10 min cameo at the end of a game. And all this because we are in transition-which we are but in the worst possible way. This club just missed out on a Prem League promotion in successive years yet ,listening to Russ, they were garbage and HE is the man to change it all. We weren't and he isn't. No matter what happens between now and end of May,this season is a waste

Its not about being right for me Im gutted that that Martin is not the "messiah" he was made out to be by so many at the start of the season...as we are now in a position as to what do we do? IS he going to change? History tells us not.. Last season MKDOns finished 13th in league 1 but topped the possession stats table 64.5 % possession won 39% ,Drew 24% and lost 37% of games played this season to date we top the possession stats table with 63.29% possession we have won 34%,drawn 23%,and lost 43% of matches played spot any similarities? Martin had 18 months or so in charge at MK Dons this season change of manager and they are averaging possession of 58.2% and have won 55% of games ,drawn 26% and lost 19% of games played to date.....a change in manager has brought a different focus and change in results. It is apparent Martin's focus on is on ball retention as he believes this is what gives his teams dominance over the opposition though we have failed to se that in reality this season. The club is now left with a cleft stick...interestingly talk has been of establishing a process that continuity is maintained when a manger leaves as HJ spoke of after the departure of Martinez, with Curtis and Pascoe becoming "fixtures" of the backroom staff of succesive managers, of course Pascoe left with Brendan but Curt remained until Monk was allowed to relegate him to kettle duties. How many other managers are out there with Martins's philosophy? SO what to do ? Im glad I'm not Birch or Allen Interestingly there are many in here still in support of Martin saying how things will be good next season when it clicks,..... many of these were disparaging of our previous manager calling him amongst other things a "luck fraud"....stating how without certain players he was nothing...yet that same manager is for the third season in succession knocking on the doors of the playoffs and is in the quarter finals of the FA cup having knocked out the current holders who are a PL team......such is their ability to judge managers. Of course the defense to this will be I am nothing but a Cooper boy.....which I am not I'm a Swans fan I want to see my team do well....Cooper is gone and Martin is here but I was always taught to speak with data and so the data I use is to reference my argument.

You 're doing fine. We are all worried;some admit, other can't or won't.That's up to them. The comments post Blackpool by a couple of posters show just how worried we all are. I say ALL. And we are.

Not on about the Martin situation, but it is clear that AC & UHL are willing us to lose. So that is true. Read UHL's post on Peterborough thread above. Clear he is condemning us more than a day before the game has taken place. All I am saying is wait until he sees the match before condemning the performance and results ?

But they are reacting to what’s happened, we look awful. They may be dreading the next game, doesn’t mean they are willing the team to lose. People were saying last season prior to the final “if we go up we will be smashed and come straight back down” - I didn’t take that as them willing us to.

Different people. I agree that many were of the opinion if we went up we would be hammered every week. Many also expressed that in 2011 However these two have such a blind dislike of Martin and in UHL's case Swansea and Wales as well ( as a city and country) that their judgement is blinded. I have changed my position a lot since Blackpool, I cling to a faint hope that Martin will come good, only because I fear he will be given a good run. However I go into each game optimistically. Those two definetly do not I should add that if they were criticising us after a poor showing at Posh, then I could on why they would react. Not the day before though [Post edited 16 Mar 2022 0:41]

They are just being realistic and going on what they see anc not ehat they hope for...even if we win at posh it don't change anything, we are bou nd to win now and again, but it doesn't mean that Martin has got it right, his system and philosophy is all wrong...quicker he gone the better, ruining good players by stubbornness and not admitting he gets things wrong, too many players out position, he thinks we out play teams by playing around back into midfield and back again, teams let us gave it there knowing we can't hurt them, but the deluded tw@t thinks we are dominating games...and anyone who thinks it will change are just as deluded

Not "want" to lose a such ,merely something ,a result ,that shows to all why we need to act to stop our club sliding further -as it will. Barnsley won last night,Reading drew with Bomuff, asume nowt.

Which reads as you would not be too disappointed if we draw or lose as long as it fits your agenda to see Martin gone ? I am not happy with the way things have gone under Martin but never want to see a negative result. Strange attitude

Agreed. Faults can still be found and discussed even when we win. Still want to see the wins even if they are the result of a poor performance.
